Crafting
While traversing Dead Island 2 Hell-A, you must stay on top of your game by crafting various items, like Med Kits and weapon mods. In this IGN wiki guide, we'll tell you how the crafting system of this game works and what you need to do to upgrade your weapons.
Why Craft Items?
Crafting items is pivotal to your survival in Dead Island 2. For example, you'll need to make essential items like Med Kits that'll heal you up, weapon mods that'll allow you to deal elemental damage to zombies, weapon ammo, and even perks that can boost your favorite weapons.
Also, installing mods and perks to your weapons will increase the amount of power they have.
How to Craft Items
You'll unlock crafting early in the game when you get access to the workbench inside Emma's house. After that, you can use any workbench you discover in Hell-A to work on the items in your inventory.
Once you interact with a workbench, you can select between two different menus Weapons and Fabricate.
Weapons
In the weapons menu, you can see all the weapons you currently have in your inventory. If you want to fix a weapon, just scroll to the one you want to repair and press the repair button (if you have enough funds to repair it). You can also level-match a weapon to bring it to your current level. This option will cost you some cash as well.
If you want to upgrade your weapon, press the upgrade button to open the mod and perks screen. You'll need to choose between crafting a mod or a perk and then select the upgrade you want to create.
Before you can craft an upgrade, you'll need the upgrade's blueprint, cash, and parts. You can see how much money and which parts you'll need on the upgrades screen.
You can customize your weapons however you want. This mix and match of perks and mods will let you experiment with different play styles and allow you to have two completely different weapons, even if the "base" weapon is the same.
After selecting an upgrade, hold the fabricate button until it's done. Remember that not all blueprints work for all weapons and that some weapons have more upgrade slots than others, so check workbenches often to see what you can craft.
Fabricate
On the fabricate screen, you can craft consumables like ammo or medkits. However, you'll need to buy or find the blueprints for those items before crafting them.
