FTP authentication has been disabled for this web app. You will not be able to authenticate using these credentials

What should you do when you get this error?

You can simply follow the steps in the below image:

1. Go to the Configuration of the Azure Web app (or) Azure App Service.

2. Next, go to the General Settings.

3. Then, Switch On the “FTP Basic Auth Publishing Credentials” option.

4. Click on “Save and Continue” changes.

Result:

Now, you can connect to your Azure App Service using FTP Clients such as WinSCP, Filezilla, etc successfully. Otherwise, it throws connection errors 🚫.
