Imperial Praetorian Guard is a Star Wars minifigure introduced in 2024.

Background[]

A force that served as an evolutionary bridge between the Imperial Guards of the Galactic Empire and the Praetorian Guards of the First Order, the Imperial Praetorians were, like each of these units, elite melee warriors. In the absence of an Emperor or Supreme Leader, they apparently acted as protectors for high-ranking officials within the Imperial Remnant. More specifically, they were attached to forces represented by General Brendol Hux. Hux would, with proper motivation, loan them out to fellow members of the Shadow Council.

Three Praetorian Guards were requisitioned by Moff Gideon to help counter Bo-Katan’s attempt to retake Mandalore. They engaged an exhausted and partly disarmed Paz Vizsla, killing him after a brief but fierce battle. Later, they attacked Din Djarin before being lured away by Grogu. The young Force-sensitive and Djarin then fought and killed the trio of Praetorians.
