Cal Kestis is a Star Wars minifigure to be introduced in 2024.

Background[]

Cal Kestis was a Jedi Padawan to Jedi Master Jaro Tapal towards the conclusion of the Clone Wars. When Order 66 came into effect, Cal narrowly escaped death at the hands of his Master's Clone Troopers, retaining one half of his master's double-bladed lightsaber. He then spent several years living in hiding as a scrapper on Bracca, but his cover was eventually blown when he employed his long-concealed Force abilities to save the life of his friend Prauf. This led to Cal being targeted by the Second Sister and Ninth Sister, two members of the Imperial Inquisitorius, before being saved by fellow surviving Jedi Cere Junda and her hired captain Greez Dritus.

The unlikely trio soon became engaged in a race against the Inquisitors for possession of a holocron that contained a list of Force-sensitive children. This would see them fight alongside such notables as Saw Gerrera and Chief Tarfful, travel to worlds such as Dathomir and Ilum, and face not only the Inquisitors and Imperial forces but the fallen Jedi Taron Mallicos. Eventually, Cal would travel to Nur, base of operations for the Inquisitors, and face the Second Sister in battle after being knighted as a Jedi by Cere in recognition of his dedication. After defeating the Second Sister and narrowly escaping an encounter with Darth Vader, Cal chose to destroy the holocron in order to insure that the children listed on it would not become known to the Empire.
