Commitment 2024 debate series: Primary races
Commitment 2024 is WESH 2's long-running political initiative to bring the most comprehensive, fact-based information to viewers, including the primary debate series, which kicks off this week.
This year we invited state and federal candidates across our nine-region area in Central Florida to come in for a debate against their primary opponents.

Moderated by political reporter Greg Fox, the primary debate series offers viewers a chance to hear answers to important questions so they can make informed choices at the polls. Viewers can watch the debates in their entirety at WESH.com or edited for television during newscasts.
In the primary debate series, viewers will see members of the same party vying for that party's nomination. Those races will be decided by voters during the Aug. 20 primary election.
The winners will go on to run for the general election on Nov. 5.
