Motorcyclist dies in head-on crash with vehicle in Groton, Massachusetts, police say
Police in Groton said a motorcyclist was killed in a head-on crash involving a vehicle on a Nashoba Valley road on Wednesday afternoon. A portion of Route 119 and Route 225 (Boston Road) was closed following the head-on crash the motorcycle and sedan.The police chief said the vehicle is believed to have crossed the center line prior to the crash. Video from the scene showed a badly damaged motorcycle on the road, with a sedan crashed in a grassy area off the roadway.The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.Police said Boston Road was closed from Four Corners to Gay Road as first responders and accident investigation teams were at the scene.
