Wonka Transforms Canada's Yorkdale Shopping Centre
The Gorgeous and Immersive World of Wonka Comes to Life for Shoppers This Holiday Season
Today, Warner Bros. Pictures Canada unveiled Wonka’s Sweet Escape at Yorkdale – a world-exclusive and immersive activation to celebrate this holiday’s most anticipated film release. From November 21 to January 2, shoppers can step through the iconic Wonka storefront and into a world of pure imagination by visiting the breathtaking display located in Yorkdale’s East Court, between Birks and Canada Goose. Fans are able to indulge in enchanting photo moments, exclusive giveaways, and other delicious surprises!
At the heart of the activation is a captivating 30-foot tall chocolate-candy cherry blossom tree that brings to life the sugar-coated imaginings from the film. Additional treats featured in the space include a larger-than-life Wonka chocolate bar and prop replica of the chocolate-maker’s famous walking cane, straight from the production!
A magical floating photo opportunity allows fans to take home a snapshot souvenir from the experience, and those who share their photos on social media will be entered to win a weekly Yorkdale shopping spree just in time for the holiday season. Visitors will also go home with exclusive goodies including posters, Wonka-themed Kinder Surprise (while supplies last), and more.
