The Hall of Fame edition features Vince Carter as the cover athlete.
Jayson Tatum and A’Ja Wilson are now NBA 2K cover athletes. 2K Games announced on Wednesday (July 10) that the NBA and WNBA champions would grace the cover of this year’s iteration of the basketball simulator.
Tatum will be the cover star for the NBA 2K25 Standard Edition, while Wilson will be featured on the case for the NBA 2K25 WNBA Edition. For the first time, both athletes will be included as dual-cover athletes on a special NBA 2K25 All-Star Edition.
Additionally, Vince Carter, 2024 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Inductee, eight-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA Team, and NBA dunk contest legend, will grace the front of the NBA 2K25 Hall of Fame Edition. All game versions will be released on Friday (Sept. 6) for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch and will feature crossplay on the new-gen consoles.

Jayson Tatum spoke about finally becoming a cover athlete on the heels of winning his first NBA Championship, saying, “It’s an honor to be named a cover athlete for NBA 2K25,” said Jayson Tatum. “I’ve been playing NBA 2K since I was a kid and it’s been a dream to one day be on the cover. Even after coming off an NBA Championship, it’s humbling to see this come to life.”
A’Ja Wilson stated that her placement on the cover is more about the growth of the W. The Las Vegas Aces star asserted that this decision was a step in the right direction to get more women involved and seen in the sport.
“Being featured on the NBA 2K25 cover is a big moment for me and a testament to the ever-growing fandom of the WNBA,” said A’ja Wilson. “Seeing more and more WNBA athletes scanned into NBA 2K25 to best capture the style and confidence of the league has been empowering, and I can’t wait for fans to experience it in-game.”
