“The Braxtons are back, guys. Look at God,” said matriarch Evelyn Braxton in the new super-teaser trailer for The Braxtons. The new reality show marks the family’s return to TV three years after the seven-season run of Braxton Family Values.
We TV and ALLBLK unveiled the preview and key art for the highly anticipated reality series on Wednesday (July 10), just a month ahead of its debut slated for Friday, Aug. 9 at 9:30 p.m. ET.
In honor of the premiere episode, We TV will air it commercial-free.
The eight-episode series follows the Braxton sisters: Toni, Tamar, Towanda, and Trina along with the mother, Evelyn. They reunite for the first time since losing their sister/daughter Traci in back in 2022 after her battle with esophageal cancer and collectively embark on “an emotional rollercoaster of love, loss, triumph, heartbreak and healing.”
Each woman juggles their careers, respective health challenges, and busy personal lives while strengthening their familial bond.
The network noted, “Toni faces a critical health challenge as she prepares for her Vegas comeback. Trina starts therapy for PTSD. Towanda battles alopecia. Tamar focuses on her wellness journey and Ms. E’s cooking show dream is becoming a reality. However, the family reuniting continues to bring up questions and unresolved issues. Will Traci’s last wish be enough for the family to be close again, as they once were?”

Ahead of the premiere, Braxton Family Values fans can relive select moments with catch-up specials airing on Friday, July 26 and Friday, Aug. 2 at 9:30 p.m. ET, exclusively on We TV.
The two, one-hour recaps will spotlight key moments and storylines from the beloved original show. With The Braxtons, fans will gain “unprecedented access and emotional resonance” into the lives of the iconic musical family.
