Megan Thee Stallion isn’t only known for her chart-topping songs, fierce lyrics, and commanding stage presence, but also for her deep-rooted love for anime.
The Houston Hot Girl has cosplayed as characters from various anime series including Todoroki from My Hero Academia, Yumeko Jabami from Kakegurui, and Android 18 from Dragon Ball Z. Most recently she perfected her Sailor Moon look with a custom, 1:1 piece designed by Bex, who showed the process of her creating the piece on her X account.
“HOT girl Sailor Moon outfit SEWED BY ME! luv u megan!” she wrote, while also sharing Megan doing her viral “Mamushi” dance.
Meg’s love for the Japanese animation known for its colorful graphics, expressive characters, and action-packed plots, is seen throughout her latest album Megan with songs like “Boa,” “Cobra,” “Otaku Hot Girl,” and more.
“Ayy, can’t touch me like Gojo/ Look good in all my photos/ Just landed in Kyoto/ I’m worldwide, these bi**hes local,” she raps on the latter.
To further share her love of anime, VIBE has compiled a list of Megan Thee Stallion’s most enchanting cosplay looks. Check them out below.
-
Yumeko Jabami - 'Kakegurui'

-
Satoru Gojo - 'Jujutsu Kaisen'
Image Credit: Screenshot Upon Meg’s arrival in Tokyo, she decided to channel Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen, but with a feminine twist. Staying true to his mysterious look, Meg sported long gray hair and black cloth around her eyes, paired with a two-piece leather fit.
Satoru is considered to be the strongest protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen series and the most legendary Jujutsu sorcerer in the world.
-
Bruno Bucciarati - 'Jojo's Bizarre Adventures'
Image Credit: YouTube screenshot. The 29-year-old has channeled a few looks and characters from the anime show Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, including the character Bruno Bucciarati. While presenting at the 2024 Crunchyroll Awards, Meg sported a short black bob and a gold-accented white gown that accentuated her décolleté.
Bruno Bucciarati is pretty much in the mafia, and only has interest in being at the top by any means. Meg was able to soften up the character’s look by adding a woman’s touch.
-
Boa Hancock - 'One Piece'
Image Credit: YouTube screenshot. In the music video for “Boa” — a single hailing from her third studio album Megan — the Grammy-winner tapped into her inner Boa Hancock from the show One Piece.
Boa Hancock is referred to as the “Snake Princess” — hence the theme of a few songs from Meg’s album — and is indisputably considered to be the most beautiful woman in the world.
Take a look at the video for “Boa” below.
-
Kei Kurono - 'Gantz'
Image Credit: YouTube screenshot. Megan Thee Stallion decided to channel the Japanese anime show Gantz as character Kai Karuno in her music video for “Boa.” Wearing a very revealing twist on the character’s black leather jumpsuit, Megan bared it all, aside from her arms, hair, and legs.
According to Heros Wiki, Kei is a “selfish, hesitant, and reckless person,” who was later regarded as a “hero” and “leader.”
-
Christie Monteiro - 'Tekken'

-
Jolyne Cujoh - 'Jojo's Bizzare Adventure'
Image Credit: YouTube screenshot. While visiting Osaka, Japan, Megan Thee Stallion dressed as Jolyne Cujoh from Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure. The Hot Girl coach donned green and blonde buns in her hair with an emerald ensemble, just like Jolyne — who’s symbolized by a butterfly inside a spider-web representing “entrapment and innocence in life.”
-
Sukuna - 'Jujutsu Kaisen'
Image Credit: YouTube screenshot. Megan cosplayed Sukuna, a “cold-hearted, immoral, and exceptionally sadistic” character from Jujutsu Kaisen with help from her hairstylist and makeup artist. The “Plan B” spitter sported pink and brown ombré hair, markings on her face, and red contacts.
-
Shoto Todoroki - 'My Hero Academia'
Image Credit: Youtube screenshot. For the August 2019 cover of Paper magazine, Megan Thee Stallion channeled Shoto Tokoto from My Hero Academia. Staying true to the character, Meg sported a blue jumpsuit, red and platinum blonde wig, and red shading around her eye.
The character Todoroki is described as “a cold, aloof personality,” who is “Focused and unemotional,” so he keeps to himself.
-
Death The Kid - 'Soul Eater'
Image Credit: Youtube screenshot. Megan effortlessly turned Death the Kid into Death Thee Stallion when she dressed as the Soul Eater character for her “Hottie Ween” last year. The “Hiss” rhymer wore a black and white-striped tuxedo, pixie cut and black-lined lips – nailing the look.
Death the Kid is described by the show’s website as “uptight” but also very independent, ambitious and humble.
-
Rumi “Mirko” Usagiyama - 'My Hero Acadamia'
Image Credit: YouTube screenshot. Another time Megan fully tapped into one of her favorite anime characters was when she became Rumi Usagiyama from My Hero Academia.
As per the show’s fan website, Rumi is “tough and always speaks her mind, even if it causes confrontation.” Rumi seems to resonate with Meg, for some reason.
