John Mulaney and Olivia Munn are married! This former 'Law & Order' star officiated

The couple recently opened up about Munn's journey with breast cancer.

John Mulaney and Olivia Munn are officially married.

Mulaney, 41, and Munn, 44, tied the knot in a New York ceremony with “Law and Order” alum Sam Waterston officiating, TODAY.com confirmed.

Waterston and Munn co-starred in the HBO series "The Newsroom."

Munn and Mulaney were first romantically linked in 2021. Their son, Malcolm Hiệp, was born the same year.

The couple recently opened up about Munn's breast cancer diagnosis, which she learned of in April 2023. A course of genetic tests led to Munn learning she had luminal B breast cancer in both breasts, which she described as a “an aggressive, fast moving cancer” in her March 2024 announcement.

When announcing the news earlier this year, Munn thanked Mulaney for his support.

“I’m so thankful to John for the nights he spent researching what every operation and medication meant and what side effects and recovery I could expect,” she wrote. “For being there before I went into each surgery and being there when I woke up, always placing framed photos of our little boy Malcolm so it would be the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes.”

Munn disclosed that she had a hysterectomy as part of her cancer treatment. She told Vogue in May 2024 that she was able to freeze her eggs for future children, and that she and Mulaney have "two healthy embryos."

In the same Vogue interview, Mulaney spoke about his whirlwind years with Munn, and how cancer affected their relationship.

“Olivia and I have been through a lot of things together in the past couple years, just side-by-side, supporting each other through anything. And as her guy, I felt both scared and protective. Even with Malcolm in her lap and me there holding her hand, she was going to be physically fighting this disease alone," he said.

Mulaney was previously married to artist and writer Anna Marie Tendler. This is Munn's first marriage.

The couple met after Mulaney had checked into rehab twice in the span of a year, he recalled during an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in September 2021.

Meyers was part of the group of friends who organized an intervention for Mulaney.

“I went to rehab in September, OK, I got out in October, I move out of my home from my ex-wife. I host ‘Saturday Night Live’ on Halloween. I relapse on drugs,” he recalled.

“I continued using drugs,” the comedian said. “You and some other friends staged an intervention, as you recall. I went to rehab again, this time for two months. I got out in February. I lived in sober living for another month and a half.”

“I got into this relationship that’s been really beautiful with someone incredible who has dealt with the non-Coked up Bambi version of me,” he said. “And that’s been very incredible, and she’s kind of held my hand through that hell, and we’re having a baby together.”

“We’re both really, really happy,” he said.
