The U.S. Olympic Team for the 2024 Paris Olympics has officially been announced.

With just 16 days to go until the opening ceremony, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee announced 592 athletes competing as part of Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“It is with immense pride and excitement that we announce the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team and the exceptional athletes that embody the spirit of dedication, resilience, and excellence, continuing the proud history of Team USA at the Olympic Games,” said USOPC CEO Sarah Hirshland in a July 10 news release.

The roster boasts an impressive list of individuals, including 314 women and 278 men. This marks the fourth straight Olympic Games with more women on the U.S. roster than men.

The list includes Olympic veterans like Simone Biles (gymnastics), LeBron James (basketball), Katie Ledecky (swimming), Steffen Peters (equestrian) and Vincent Hancock (shooting), among many others familiar and new faces who are hopeful for a medal.

In total, the 2024 team has more than 250 returning Olympians and 122 Olympic medalists, including 66 Olympic champions who have won gold medals.

Gymnast Hezly Rivera is the youngest of three athletes who are age 16, while Peters is set to compete at age 59.

The U.S. men’s and women's national soccer teams, women’s and men’s gymnastics teams and men’s and women’s basketball teams have all been announced ahead of the official roster, along with a slew of track and field talent.

“As they prepare to represent our nation on the greatest stage in all of sports, we honor their personal achievements and celebrate the unwavering support of the people that make it possible — their families, teammates, National Governing Bodies, coaches, and communities around the country," Hirshland said in the release.

"In the true spirit of ‘One for All,’ we join a proud nation of fans in cheering them on through inspiring performances and unforgettable moments.”
