Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day is a two-day sales event that happens every year. It's a highly anticipated sale for shoppers as it offers some of the biggest discounts across all categories, including electronics, home goods, kitchenware and small appliances, clothing and shoes for the whole family, pet supplies, beauty and skincare, toys, streaming, and so much more. You can also find deep discounts on Amazon devices, such as Fire TV Sticks, Ring security doorbells and cameras, Blink security cameras, and Kindle e-readers. All throughout the event, Amazon even offers limited time flash sales, known as Lightning Deals, where shoppers can save even more on best-selling items.

It's important to note, the online retailer's huge sale event is exclusive to Amazon Prime Members only. In addition to all the huge savings members can score, membership benefits such as free one or two-day shipping still apply. Members can even take advantage of Amazon's many programs and subscription services such as Prime Try Before You Buy and Subscribe and Save. Often, Amazon will offer free trials or major discounts on memberships in the weeks leading up to Prime Day.

Although Amazon Prime Day occurs annually, there isn't a set date. In recent years, Prime Day has taken place around mid-July, though that's always subject to change. Typically, Amazon will announce dates in advance so shoppers can prepare. During this time, other major retailers offer Prime Day alternative sales for anyone looking to shop major deals elsewhere.
