@straw-hat-crew The regular edition. I think the only difference for Deluxe is that it includes a "Story Expansion", which is DLC that won't be available at launch anyway. So I'll just buy that later if the DLC looks interesting.

Not really into preordering, these days. Too many "this game is going to be awesome" and then a mediocre review after launch. Waiting to read a few reviews on One Piece, but definitely have my fingers crossed.

@blockfight they didn't though. For most people making the effort is asking in a store or check websites occasionally. Actually making an effect is signing up to stock lists, stock alert apps and following twitter stock pages. If people did that they'd have one almost instantly

Ps plus extra is a great deal just like gamepass and when it comes to exclusives it’s no contest which is why Sony is breaking its own records left and right and only two years into the gen ms already posted negative hardware sells between quarters which is not remotely good and almost never happens

So excited to play Hogwarts Legacy tomorrow. One of the only few games this month that interested me.

I'm thinking about getting into Harry Potter. Not because it seems interesting, but because it's an easy way to upset virtue signaling white knights.

@Gamer_Guy I like how they felt the need to add a trans character to the game. It added nothing and it's not at all relatable to real life. The person uses actual magic to completely transform into something else. The way it comes up isn't even organic. You ask them how they know someone and they just blurt out how the person could tell they weren't a chick or a dude or whatever. It's so awkwardly crammed in and pointless.

I'm sure people would use magic if they could, but this is real life and representing trans people solving their problems with magic is like having a black character that uses magic to provide quality education and employment opportunities for his dilapidated, crime ridden, drug dealing, ghetto neighborhood.

Had my copy of Wild Hearts come today, played about 4 hours so far and I'm enjoying it. The main monsters are more epic in appearance than monster hunter but seem to go down a hell of a lot easier, which for me is preferred. Also surprised on how many other people are aying it, joining hunts takes about 5 seconds a every time.

@R_Ryder Sure, primary and most obviously overt example is her support of protest against Scotland's at-the-time new inclusion law that would allow people who can provide evidence of living as their preferred gender for 3 months. Inherent to the bill was a path to legal gender reassignment without prior surgery or hormones - which JKR stated would (paraphrasing for brevity) "provide protections of those who've had full sex reassignment surgery to intact males." Largely disregarding the bizarre use of the term "intact male," - a veterinary term for a non-neutered animal - it's clear that JKR thinks that trans-women who've not yet gone through surgery do not deserve the legal protections normally afforded to women even if they've been presenting and living as one. She also thinks that "male-oriented bodies" will use the bill to assert themselves further into women-only spaces. People who would force themselves into spaces like that are not going to wait on some government "thumbs up" to do so.

Essentially, she believes that trans women aren't women. She fairly up-front about her belief that they are fundamentally not women as well, and that they shouldn't have access to the same spaces other women are in. If, however, trans women are women, as is the position of many, then she's just galvanizing more people to suppress a subset of women. There are nuances to be discussed about the inclusion of trans women in certain, very specific spaces, but a blanket exclusion is indicative of a relatively poor understanding of biology.

I'll let you have the last word here if you want it, but I'm just now thinking that this is probably not the kind of interaction wanted on a weekly article such as this. I didn't want to leave you unanswered, however, and won't/wouldn't have minded continuing the conversation in a more personal format such as messages.

Yes, I had to cancelled holidays days booked for September because of unexpectedly needing time off last week, but definitely worth it.

@Cloud7794 I think you'll find that most people, if being honest, find it difficult to see how choosing to live as one sex or another for 3 months would qualify you as being a member of that sex.

Leaving the physical aspects aside, the very notion that you can truly 'feel' or understand what it it is to 'be' a member of the opposite sex is quite surreal. You've not been through the life experiences that give you that understanding. Especially as a Woman, who it seems now are effectively being re-classified as 'Womb Bearers'.

Unfortunately there seems to be very little appetite for reasoned debate and I suspect this will all end very, very badly.

This is clearly not the place for that debate, anyway, so lets just keep both points of view out of it.

So, I’ve decided on Kayak Mirage first for the graphical wow factor and acclimation, then Horizon to test out the features more, then Resi 8 to get scared and wander round that amazing mansion, then Pistol Whip to get rid of the scare and really test out the tracking more, then S&S1. See how much of that I can get through by the time Switchback drops.

May also get Rez and Tetris Effect upgrades. But likely will be too busy.

Oh, and this is ignoring NMS, which could be life consuming but has been delayed a few weeks I think.

Special mention to Ishin. Favourite series ever, but will have to wait 6 months at least.

It's all PSVR2 all the time this week/month for me. Horizon bundle on the way, I'm starting with that since it's kind of the official tech demo. Then into maybe Moss to compare to vr1. Then maybe some gt7 for the realism.

From there.... Maybe VR townsmen for something really different. Demeo for the real unique use of vr. Kayak for the pixel peeping.... I'm hoping dyschronia is really released at launch because being in a detective visual novel is sooo my speed. And that's before I get to NMS and forget who I am and what reality is.

..... And I still want a darned rhythm game. Maybe upgrade thumper, or maybe get drums rock (still unsure if air drumming without kickback sucks or not) kizuna ai with the jpop sounds great through but it's still not even listed in the store. I wonder if that's Japan only at least for now.

All on top of that I'm binging Yakuza series on xb, and really want to get into hfw after cotm as I just platinumed hzd before cotm lands, and the timing is good since burning shores is a few months away. So much games, so little time!

Birthday on the 22nd so naturally ive booked the 22nd, 23rd and 24th off work. Hopefully my VR gets here on the 22nd. Kayak and moss pre ordered and the more i see of Star wars the more i like it but the big one for me is defenatey GT7. Really cant wait to race Spa in VR. Have a good week folks.

Has there even been a single gameplay video of the last gen versions yet? I can't imagine this running well, as the current Gen version had performance issues and struggled in areas. It would have to be significantly visually downgraded to pull it off.
This is likely being kept quiet intentionality. If review codes have been withheld, it's still just as shameful for an outlet to not tell their audiences so, as we all know that's a huge red flag 99% of the time.

@Saitama117 I mean I get what you’re saying, and don’t see what the big deal is seeing as you had no issue with anything but how it was written in. Many groups of marginalised people go through hell and back, and it is insulting when developers, writers, or even tv shows put say a gay or trans person in it just for the sake of doing so.

As you say, they’re a “token” character. If they had a well written back story with that that marginalised group’s experience in mind that’s one thing, but if it’s not fleshed out and only surface level deep, then it’s just a slap in the face and done to give themselves a pay on the back. Saying it’s a “fantasy game” or anything else doesn’t excuse badly written characters in my book, so I agree with you.

I'm hoping for a positive Steamworld Build review before the small PS Plus discount expires on it's release date (1st Dec). I reckon it may be really good.

I always wonder how difficult it really is to create a new webpage each week instead of having hundreds of unrelated comments all the time.

While I’m sure these weekly new game release articles do pretty well traffic-wise, I think having a new comments section for them every week — letting people discuss what games they’re looking forward to that week — would get a lot of engagement, maybe as much or more than What Are You Playing This Weekend?. Maybe adding a poll asking which game they’re most excited about as well, just like you do with the monthly PlayStation Plus announcement articles?

Just my two cents, maybe there’s a good reason for not doing it behind the scenes that we don’t know about. Thanks 👍

@Balosi probably for people who grew up watching it and enjoy retro games. I'm not sure. I don't think there's any new episodes. Coz I think it ended when they made all grown up. But I'm not sure. I've not watched TV or nickelodeon in over 10 years lol. And I don't think my younger siblings know what rugrats is.

I have a dilemma. I really like Kunitsu Gami demo but i never spend $50 for a digital game.

Thank God the Kunitsu Gami demo was dreadful. That really cleared my schedule up. It's a shame Capcom will make anything other than Viewtiful Joe or God Hand.

I'm hoping I enjoy Kunitsu Gami...cause recently I've just been sitting in front of my PS5 and staring at the screen, feeling empty. Sometimes I install something that looks interesting for a few hours while I play a Switch game? I don't think I've been more disappointed in a Sony console then this gen.

@LikelySatan I think they should've called the PS5 the MiseryStation - from its lacklustre games catalogue to the miserable UI.

@Yousef- You can get various editions for PS4 and PS5 from NISA's online store. There's a nice limited edition you can still get.
