Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) is expected to unveil its latest Mac devices at a launch event which will be streamed on its website and via the Apple TV app on Monday, October 30.
The iPhone maker on Tuesday sent invitations to the event, which will be held at 8pm ET.
On the event page, Apple has featured an animation of the company’s logo which morphs into the finder icon – a hint that new Macs are on the way.
The event’s tagline “scary fast” alludes to the event’s date, one day before Halloween.
Some analysts believe the tagline also alludes to a chip update. There is speculation Apple will release new Mac devices with faster M3 chips, replacing its current M2 chips.
It is rumored that Apple will release a refreshed version of the 24-inch iMac, which is still using an M1 chip.
While the MacBook Air is unlikely to see a refresh given a larger version of the laptop with an M2 chip was launched in June, it has been speculated that the 13-, 14-, and 16-inch MacBook Pros could be refreshed with the new M3 chip.
Apple CEO Tim Cook wrote on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, that the event would bring "no tricks, just treats."
