Taylor Swift reveals next re-recorded album
Here's some news that never goes out of style: Taylor Swift just announced the official release date and details for her next re-recorded album, '1989 (Taylor's Version).' She made the announcement at the final stop on the U.S. leg of her Eras Tour in Los Angeles, revealing that the album will be released Oct. 27, nine years to the day after the release of the original. The album, which will feature 21 songs including five never-before-released "vault tracks," is available to pre-order now.
Here's how Taylor Swift changed that controversial 'actress' lyric on 'Speak Now' re-recording
The song "Better Than Revenge" — rumored at the time to be about Swift's ex Joe Jonas and Camilla Belle — is a high-tempo rock track in which Swift blames another girl for taking her man, featuring the lyric "she's an actress, whoa / but she's better known for the things that she does on the mattress, whoa." The new version of the song changes that latter lyric to "He was a moth to the flame / she was holding the matches." The rest of the song remains unchanged.
Taylor Swift says 'Speak Now' album covers every emotion she felt over two years
Taylor Swift says 'Speak Now' is a “collection of confessions—things I wish I had said when I was in the moment.” The title track, indeed, is about “the moment in a wedding where you speak now or forever hold your peace.” Tap our site link to read her full 2010 interview with Entertainment Weekly.
