Area Description:

The Bay of Islands and inshore waters from Cape Brett to the Poor Knights Islands to Bream Head.

Situation:

A weakening front moves across the upper North Island today, then a ridge of high pressure spreads over most of New Zealand. The ridge weakens tomorrow as a front moves onto the western South Island. A low develops on the front and should move east over the North Island on Thursday and Friday. Meanwhile, a new ridge of high pressure builds over the South Island on Friday.

Tuesday: Southwest 10 knots turning southerly 10 knots late morning. Sea slight. Mainly fine, chance of a shower until evening. Easterly swell 1 metre easing to half a metre.
