I've used Depends diapers for a long time due to having urinary leaks throughout the day. Over the 20 years I've worn them, they still fit me very well and are quite comfortable. The quality, though, is diminishing. The absorbancy seems to be less and less. I miss the "Overnight" Depends. I now have to use a booster in the diaper if I use it over night. With the last two packages I've opened, the tapes don't seem to stick very well. I've found that the tapes pop loose when I'm sitting or when I'm moving around causing the diaper to become loose and crinkle more. I like how they feel and fit, but I may have to resort to other options like Tranquility or North Shore for my needs.

My 12 year old daughter is disabled, so we use youth/adult sized diapers for her. We have used all kinds of brands, both purchased independently and what's provided by Medicaid. We recently had an issue with our regular Medicaid order and had to order some backups while that was sorted out. This was the only diaper available in her size and also in our budget. We usually get Attends, but they were out of stock. Because of her specific muscle tone problems, we really do NEED tab style diapers, not pull-ups, so choices are limited.

These are, without a doubt, the absolute WORST diapers we have ever used for her. The material is cheap and frequently tears whenever we need to slightly adjust the diaper under her during a change. The tabs either don't stick at all or they stick so badly to the plastic that they tear off the plastic during removal, making it impossible to securely close it up for disposal. Our daughter fits right in the middle of the size range (28" waist), yet these are ENORMOUS on her. Not an accurate fit at all. The plastic is awful, not discrete, very noisy, and probably obnoxious for our daughter to wear (she's nonverbal so she can't tell us). Just awful all around. We will NEVER buy these diapers again. Truly terrible. Don't waste your money.

The only phrase I can think of that truly describes Depend Incontinence Briefs with Adhesive Tabs is "old school," a reference to the fact that these are closer to true "adult diapers" than most brands tend to go these days. While most brands, including Depend, are trying to move toward a pull-up brief this is a more traditional diaper in look and feel.

This arrived as a 3-pack of 16-briefs for a total of 48 briefs. These are considered unisex and are also considered maximum absorbency. They offer a wetness indicator in front that disappears when the brief needs changed. These briefs also offer odor control, though I'd say it's a notch below more contemporary brief styles.

These are large sized and fit waist sizes 35"-49".

While I think pull-up briefs are awesome, for some folks who are wheelchair users or who have a differently shaped body, sometimes this style of briefs is really what works effectively. There was a time when I used these frequently, though Depend largely stopped stocking them most places. Because there's also still a stigma to incontinence, this traditional "diaper" can be a bit more embarrassing as it's less discreet and it has a little bit of that crinkly sound that a diaper makes.

I find that the tabs tend to be flimsy - even they're a bit old school. There's three on both sides and they do secure, but it's almost inevitable that one of the three will rip.

I'd almost consider these better for caregivers. They're a little more difficult to get situated for those who change themselves and because the sizing tends to run a bit small it's easier to rip a tab or get bunched up.

That said, despite everything they are absorbent and they do work pretty well. They are eligible for Subscribe n' Save and I'd say they're a solid value with good performance. These are also latex free, lotion free, and fragrance free. As someone with a latex allergy, this is super important to me.

These are briefs I seem to always return to after trying others. They may be a bit old school, but they're affordable and effective and that's ultimately what I need.

The Large size is so large that you could probably put them on someone who is 300 lbs. My main issue is that the tabs are terrible. Once in place, they will tear the plastic if you try to re-settle them. That means even if they are clean, they will still need to be replaced. I wound up getting washable adult diapers that snap on for my father while he is staying with us. The fit is much more secure and comfortable. He found that saggy plastic diaper demoralizing.
