Great product. Great customer service.BillIt was waiting for me when I arrived. It went together well and works great.5
Hard to assemble !MelisaHard to assemble, in typical IKEA fashion, we were missing one screw and given an extra screw of another piece. Took time, can't really say if it makes a difference with our bed frame and mattress. Our bed does feel firm with it.3
I don't know what people are complaining aboutAnnetteI purhcased this yesterday and I don't know what the complaints are about. Yes it took some time to put it together, but it wasn't that hard. I will say that having someone help made it a lot easier, but once we did one the other was a breeze (my bed is a queen so we had to do the assembly twice...it is essentially like having a split boxspring). Once we had the two sets of slat assembled and tightened all the bolts, we were still able to adjust the straps the slats were looped in. To me, the hardest/most frustrating part was the tiny screw to secure the straps to the slats frame. The slats laid perfectly on my bed (an Hemnes) and the mattress on top. The process of opening boxes to mattress on bed took about 1.5 hours. And I slept great on it. My previous set of slats were just a bunch of 1x2s cut for the width of the bed. I could tell a difference in my sleep quality in one night with these slats.5
European fitDebraI replaced my king size box springs with this product and couldn't be more pleased! They fit perfectly in the same place while lowering the overall height of my bed top. Love it!5
Not Nearly as Hard To Assemble As Many Have SaidAnthonyI am excited to take my Malm sleeping experience to the next level, and decided to upgrade from the Luroy to the Lonset. I'll be upfront and say that I've assembled well over 65 Ikea items over the last 30 years and have rarely found any of them to be all that troublesome to assemble. But, after seeing a number of the reviews for the Lonset I was kind of looking forward to a challenge. I even had my wife time me as I put it together... and it was an absolute breeze. A shade over an hour start to finish! If you leave the 6 screws on the second rail very loose (as instructed to in step two) it is no problem to but the slats in.
I like that the mattress sits higher in the Malm frame with these slats as opposed to Luroy. So far I can definitely tell a difference in the support over the Luroy as well. All in all I am very pleased. 5
Missing PartsKrystaPutting this together was a team effort, you need at least 2 people, one with a lot of upper body strength. We built the entire king size frame and realized we were missing one slat. We went all the way back to our store to get the missing slat and they refused to give us one because there are no part numbers associated to bed slat kits. Had to go online and have Ikea send me an entire new frame just so I can get the single slat we were missing in the first place. Had to throw out the entire second one. Now that it is fully assembled it is very comfortable and quiet, we love our bed.3
Great product!MaureenThese slats made our RV bed more comfortable and they allow air to circulate beneath the mattress. 5
Didn't last more than 2 yearsWinniWe had to get a LONSET since the store was out of LUROY when we bought our queen bed (HESSUN). Though the price was higher, we had hoped the quality was higher as well. Assembly was straightforward, and they're easy to move and install once assembled. We used it for just over 2 years and found that some of the rubber supports had collapsed in the middle, leaving it poorly supported right where all the weight is. Keep in mind I'm only 110 lbs (50 kg) and my husband is less than 180 lbs (80 kg), with no kids to otherwise abuse the bed. I'm pretty disappointed with the longevity of this product.2
perfect sized bed slatesJohannaPerfect price and size for the bed slates.5
Slats Everywhere!DavidSturdy, well made, should last many years. Takes patience in assembling!5
Difficult to put together and can't tuck sheets inNoraThis base is very springy and makes the mattress sit high on the frame -- so high that you can't tuck sheets in. It was also very difficult to put together. Wish I hadn't spent the extra money.1
Horrible designDanielleWe joked they had a 25 yr old gym bro design and sign off on this pos.
Putting the slats in their spots takes a lot of wrestling. I could not do it and would have had to trash it if I didn't have a strong guy help me.
Ladies if you have nails you can't put this together, weak nope. Arthritis in your hands nope.
This product is not IKEA quality and needs to be revamped. You have been warned.1
GreatShabyWorks better than the other slats. Especially if your on the heavier side5
