I discovered this fan from a Vornado email. I loved the design. I was bit skeptical because i purchased another Vornado product I assumed was gonna be a great purchase and ended up disappointed. I currently own several High Velocity Fans and based on the negative reviews I’ve read about the Strata, (I always read the negative reviews before the positive ones) I was scared this fan wouldn’t measure up. I broke down and took the plunge because it was on sale. I immediately gave the fan a test run before assembling the stand, because if high was nothing but a puny breeze, it was going right back in the box for a refund. Long story short, it is the truth. It is powerful and quiet. The last time I owned a fan with a low setting this quiet was the 7-bladed Kool Operator I owned during my teenage years (If you know, you know). Make sure you read the instructions for assembly as well as to change the oscillation from 90 to 180 degrees. It is lightweight and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. I purchased it for my bedroom. I can feel the fan with no problem from my bed that sits up high.
At the end of the day, it is pricey. But anyone who is familiar with Vornado products knows you’re gonna have to cough up some coins. If you think it’s too rich for your blood, keep it moving.
I also recommend this fan for those college students living dorms with no air conditioning because it is powerful, lightweight, durable and doesn’t take up a lot of space. Make sure your kids add it to their college registry.

Always been a “fan” of vornado product, however this product was disappointing.
The design is cool and it’s well made. However, it blows average air and has no extra features you would expect for the price. The opening is slim and doesn’t perform much better than your average fan. For the money I would have expected to be “blown” away,
More fewtures like a sleep timer, vertical oscillation would have been welcomed.
As a beta tester I can’t recommend this product at the advertised price.
