The video quality is 10 times better. I attached a picture to some how nice the image quality is, even at night.

Ring Pro HD not any better picture than a regular 1080p Ring Doorbell camera.

I have a three year old Ring 1080P doorbell camera and I was hoping this updated Pro version would have better picture quality. I have good Wifi signal levels but the images are not crisp. Honestly if the person is not within 6ft of the camera it would be hard to get a picture that could used to positively identify someone, and because of the wider angle lens the background is blown out during the day even with HDR turned off. Actually my older Ring Doorbell camera has a little better quality image and the background is not blown out during the day. I've observed the same relatively poor image quality on my other Ring outdoor cameras too, but what can you expect for $50. At a price point of $200 for the Ring Pro Doorbell Camera I expected more. I will probably be returning it.
