My Favorite Planner, but small flaw
This is my 2nd year using this brand of planner. I enjoy the layout, the thickness of the paper, and that there aren’t a lot of additional formatted pages (addresses, etc) that I won’t use. It’s truly my favorite one!One small gripe: The weekly layouts use a Monday start (which I like), but the current & next month calendars on the top right of the left-hand page are using a Sunday start this year. Last year, those used a Monday start as well and the current week was highlighted since it was all on one line. Last year’s configuration seems the nicer touch. Still, this is a minor complaint for a very affordable a planner.

All the years that I took a blank dotted journal and created my own planner, I ended up creating what this planner already has! This one is perfect for those of us who need a monthly view as well as a weekly planner view on one page with a blank journal page on the page opposite the weekly planner. This one also has a tiny current month and last month at the top of the weekly planner page. This saves me money since I don't have to by tiny month stickers; saves time so I don't have to draw in my own weeks and use my month stamp; and saves space since the stamp and/or the sticker won't take up journal page space. If I had the money to manufacture my perfect planner, this would be it. The cover color is nice and bright. The cover is sturdy too. The only downer - and it is a very small one - is that the page is not as thick as the ones in the expensive journals but it is a good weight and there is no bleed-through with my Micron 08 pen. Also, I am guessing the pocket in the back will get worn pretty quickly if you use it a lot. I just use it to hold a note card and envelope in case I need one "asap." Granted, it's a 2024 planner so I have not had the chance to abuse it yet, but I have high hopes.

I love the set up of this planner - the left side shows the days of the week and helps me keep track of appts and important events and the right side allows me to reflect on the week, doodle, make lists, jot notes, etc. Paper quality allows smooth writing for all the different colored pens that I use and it’s the perfect size to keep in my bag, on my desk, or on my nightstand. Not only is this a reasonably priced weekly planner, but it’s well made too. I was worried this wouldn’t handle fountain pens, but it does, wonderfully! I tend to use Japanese fine or medium fine pens with a “wet” ink. The paper is smooth and even shows off ink sheen really well. I can’t emphasize enough how much I love the texture of the paper.

One strange thing I noted, is that it does cause some of my pens to write a little more broad. Not a bad thing by any means, but something to keep in mind.

The best part about this notebook is the dot grid. The dots are light and small enough to offer guidance without getting in the way or being distracting. I love that they’re so unobtrusive! It’s hard to find a light colored dot grid paper so I’m glad I stumbled upon this brand.

I really like the layout of this planner. The blank page on the weekly view makes it very versatile - sort of a cross between a bullet journal and a dated planner - you can put weekly to dos in categories, habit trackers, meal and exercise planning... It is surprisingly thin while the pages are still high quality, it's light and easily slips into a purse or bag, especially since there are no rings. I like that it is not lined, which allows a person to write as big or small as needed. The blank pages on the weekly view are dotted to help with drawing lines.

The one thing I actually find REALLY annoying is that the months are all at the front. I can't even say just how much this irritates me. This just doesn't work well with my brain, and also makes for more page flipping when writing in dates. Also there are no tabs, and the page is so close to the edge that it would make it nearly impossible to add them. I like to add more things to the blank pages and put tabs to find things easily, plus I like the organized look of that. This looks more like a book than a planner, which some may like, but I would prefer it to look like a planner.

Regardless, I bought it because I'm tired of looking for a planner and the layouts will work very well. I hope that I won't be so irritated by the placement of the monthly calendars that I end up just buying a different one.

The only con it's a bit expensive, but I like everything else:

- A week on one page and free space for notes on the opposing page. It's great for both creative and organized planning.
- No unnecessary lines. A very subtle grid on the "notes" page, so it can be used both for guided writing and for free drawing
- Ideal format, not too big, not too small, quality pages thick enough, but overall the planner is slim and light
- Nice choice of colors, quality cover and binding

I tried other brands and come back to this one. The Moleskine equivalent was nice but its pages were more flimsy. Others were heavier or more cheaply made. This one is perfect.
