Love The Larger Size For This Filtering Pitcher
We make a lot of brewed, sweet tea in our house but we do not like using straight tap water. We had a smaller filtering pitcher that had to be refilled several times to make 1 gallon of tea so I ordered this pitcher because it's larger and holds more filtered water. We love the size and only takes us 1 to 2 times to fill compared to the smaller pitcher we were using. The top / filtering compartment of this pitcher will only fill 1/2 way, so you have to fill the filtering compartment 2 times to get the full 10 cup amount of water, which isn't bad really. You have to remove the top to refill the filtering compartment, which does tend to stick sometimes. Has a nice sleek look and the handle is comfortable to grip. Removing the lid does keep the "timer" from getting wet and damaged (our last pitcher "timer" got wet and immediately stopped working). Our sweet tea doesn't have a "tap water" taste so the filter is working nicely. We have very hard water in our area as well and the last pitcher started to get a lime scale build up on it so we're hoping this pitcher does a better job filtering lime out of our water as well. The pictures is about a week after we started using it and the pitcher is not showing signs of this yet.
