We have two of these running in our home. They do an excellent job of monitoring the humidity and running just hard enough to keep the rooms at the pre-set level. Some days, the water goes fast. Some days we can wait 2 days before refilling the tank. We are in Colorado so when the weather gets very cold, we lower the humidity levels to prevent excessive sweating on the windows.
When refilling the tank one day, it slipped out of my hand and cracked. I contacted the company via email and they got right back to me. A courtesy replacement is already on its way! Now that is great customer service.

Not suitable for bedroom
This is a handsome and powerful machine and I loved the hot steam function, but ultimately I returned it because it was too loud and the lights far too bright (even on the lowest setting) to keep in the bedroom. It would probably be ideal for anywhere else in the house, but I only needed it for my bedroom and it’s just not conducive to a restful sleep. Also, the hygrometer in the unit always displayed a different humidity level to the remote - even when I placed them side by side (see pic!). Perhaps my unit was just faulty. The amount of steam it lets out is quite phenomenal though, and the large tank is super handy cause you don’t need to fill it up every day!
