Product Description

DESIGNED FOR CARPETS AND HARD FLOORS

The AIRBELT K2 and K3 models are mid-size, powerful and lightweight canister vacuums featuring clever storage of three on-board attachments, easy bag changes, remarkably quiet operation, rubber-coated wheels to protect floor surfaces, a durable telescopic tube with quick-release connections, a full bag or clog warning light, and a soft bumper to protect the vacuum, furniture and walls from scuffs and scratches. The AIRBELT K3 model offers a commercial-quality power head, along with a hard-floor parquet brush. And its ergonomically designed handle, which also has a suction adjustment switch, provides user comfort and effortless control of the power head’s 180° steering ability.

A Flat-to-the-floor 3 ¼-inch Profile – The power head’s low profile makes cleaning under furniture and beds easy!

Durable, Maneuverable and Technically Advanced Power Head – The AIRBELT K3 comes standard with SEBO’s ET-1 power head, which effectively cleans both carpets and hard floors. It is 12-inches wide and offers four-level manual brush height adjustment. Also, to clean delicate rugs and hard floors with straight-suction cleaning, the brush roller can be manually switched off. Its 180° steering ability provides amazing maneuverability.

It also has easy brush removal, a handy clog removal door, and an orange warning light with automatic shut off for brush roller obstructions. The warning light also remains illuminated during use when brush height is set too high for optimal cleaning or when the brush roller should be replaced due to reaching maximum bristle wear.

AIRBELT K3

Suction Adjustment Switch on Handle – The vacuum’s suction power can be adjusted from 0 to 1,250 watts by a slider switch conveniently located on the handle of the K3, providing convenient suction control for normal to more delicate cleaning tasks.

Included Tools & Accessories
Three On-board Tools – The SEBO AIRBELT K models come standard with a crevice tool, dusting brush and upholstery nozzle. Also, many optional attachments are available that can be fitted to the telescopic tube or the hose handle.

Tug and Retract Cord Rewinder – The AIRBELT K models offer a “tug and retract” cord rewinder, instead of a control switch cord rewinder, which is offered on the AIRBELT D4 model.

Full Bag or Clog Light – When a full bag, a clog in the airflow pathway, or an excessively dirty microfilter is detected, an orange warning light, next to the green “on light,” on the canister body illuminates and an airflow bypass valve opens. This feature prevents overheating and motor damage from a lack of adequate airflow.

Large Operating Range – A 32-foot operating range, with a 20-foot cord, saves time because it minimizes the number of electrical outlets needed during use.

AIRBELT K’S FILTRATION SYSTEM

Bags are Better! Top-fill, three and four-layer bags are an integral part of SEBO’s filtration system because they hold virtually all dirt captured by the vacuum, which improves the effectiveness and useful life of the microfilters. They also ensure continuously strong suction because dirt enters from the top, deposits at the bottom, accumulates upward, and air exits through the sides, which allows unimpeded airflow as they fill to capacity. And they can be sealed when full, so no dust can escape into the air during bag removal and disposal.

In contrast, without bags to hold nearly all the captured dirt, the microfilters on bagless vacuums quickly clog from excessive dirt build-up and must be replaced often, or a loss of suction and cleaning effectiveness will occur. In addition, dust and other allergens become airborne when emptying bag-less dirt containers. Lastly, bagless vacuum microfilters are expensive, usually costing more than a multi-year supply of SEBO filter bags.

S-class Pre-motor Microfilters – S-class Pre-motor Microfilters (S = “Schwebstoff” = airborne particles) are made from electrostatically charged micro-fiber material, which attracts and captures dust particles from the airflow of the vacuum before it passes over the motor to cool it. Cooling the motor with super-clean air increases motor life and reduces the possibility of maintenance, even after many years of use. The S-class Standard requires filters to absorb greater than 99.9% of particles down to 0.3 microns in diameter. For comparison, 100 microns is the diameter of a human hair.

SEBO STANDARD FEATURES

Designed and Manufactured in Germany – Legendary quality, reliability and performance make SEBO vacuums the first choice of cleaning professionals throughout the world.

Excellent for Users With Allergies or Asthma – The British Allergy Foundation recommends SEBO filters.

Tightly Sealed Vacuums Ensure Effective Filtration – Dirty air, which flows through a vacuum, can only be filtered completely if it does not escape into the room through seams or seals in the machine. This is why all SEBO vacuums have tight seals throughout. Many vacuum companies with high-filtration claims are actually quoting specifications made by the manufacturer of the filter material, as measured in the laboratory, not the filtration effectiveness of the vacuum itself while operating. Whether or not dirty air can escape through leaks in the body of the machine is not considered. The filtration effectiveness of SEBO vacuums is tested while they operate.

Save Money! SEBO Vacuums Last for Years and Extend Carpet Life! – If properly maintained, SEBO vacuums save ordinary residential users hundreds of dollars by providing excellent performance for ten to fifteen years or more, and their deep-cleaning power-brush technology extends the life of carpets. Typical vacuums perform poorly, even when new, and usually do not last beyond two years. So six or seven “disposable vacuums” must be purchased during the average life expectancy of just one SEBO machine.

Five-year Warranty Coverage – All SEBO models include a five-year warranty on the motor and all non-wear parts and a five-year warranty on labor charges.

Effective Pet Hair Removal – All SEBO vacuums easily remove pet hair! SEBO Microfilters Ensure Continuously Strong Suction Performance Tools are stored on-board for convenient above the floor cleaning Increase your cleaning range to over 32 feet with a 20 foot power cord

I debated about this vacuum cleaner because of the price. I decided to purchase it and I am glad I did. The power is excellent, the filtration is excellent and it cleans very thoroughly. It is a beautiful vacuum cleaner and the powerhead on this vacuum cleaner is fantastic. It also comes with a nice floor tool and all the attachments that you need. It is also very quiet. Very lightweight and follows along well. I absolutely love that it has bags. I got away from bags for awhile and it was very disqusting to clean a vacuum cleaner after cleaning. This is so hygenic and feels so much better for anyone with allergies and for the life of the machine itself.

After using Dyson bagless & codeless vacuum which runs out battery fairly quick and always makes mess when clean the dust bin, I got Sebo Airbelt K3 Volcano. I researched about various vacuums over a year and chose this model. I am very happy with this purchase and my husband and I both agree this is a very good vacuum worth the money. Here is my situation.

My house is 2000 sf, two of three bedrooms are low carpeted and others are wood or tile floor. No pet. No kids. No shoes allowed in the house. I used to use Oreck basic upright vacuum, eventually, It fell apart after ten years of use. There is no vacuum shop in my area to fix it and my husband didn't like it left marks and scuffs all over. I tried Dyson codeless vacuum. I liked its light weight and handy feature, however, it blows exhaust air while operating, so I never felt it completely cleaned my house. Then I looked for a coded, bagged, medium sized canister vacuum to replace it. My final selections were Sebo and Miele. I didn't have opportunity to try either of them before I made a decision. After all, I chose Sebo over Miele because of its features and price.

Pros
- Quiet
- Sturdy build
- Bumper guard
- Power on/off & suction level adjustment at the handle. Yes, you can vacuum rugs easily by adjusting suction level at your handle.
- Power head cleans well and agile. I have used Versamatic at my church and I was always impressed with its power head. This is even better.
- Color, I love it. Yea, my husband calls me "Volcano".

Cons - Switching between power head and parquet brush is sometimes cumbersome cause the power head is a little heavy. It is just the way it is.
- Hose is sometimes too long and comes on the way.
- I wish there is a handle or holding part at the top of the vacuum's body so that I can move around the body directly instead of pulling the hose to move it.
- Wheels are somewhat small and sometimes it makes hard to maneuver.

* I haven't changed the bag yet. So I can't say about it.

So far so good.

I am going to compare this machine to my 1998 Hoover Wind Tunnel upright vacuum cleaner. The Hoover needed a repair for the second time and I decided to retire it instead. Fourteen years is enough! This is when my troubles began. I read the customer reviews of Hoover vacuums here on Amazon, and on the Consumers Reports web site as well. I learned that Hoover vacuums had descended to the level of absolute junk. Use it a few times, and it breaks. I researched the other brands that I know: Kenmore, Electrolux, and Panasonic. Also junk! I eventually selected the SEBO K3.

The Hoover has much more suction than the SEBO K3. In fact, it is wonderfully powerful. It is also hugely, ridiculously loud. Unlike the SEBO K3, the Hoover is an upright vacuum. Ultimately, the choice between an upright and a canister vacuum is a matter of taste. But consider that the Hoover is self-propelled. It really is easy to use. The Hoover has a headlight. It also has a light that goes out when the section of carpet you are pummeling is clean. I really like that. These are features that the SEBO K3 lacks. Finally, the Hoover power cord is about twice as long as the SEBO K3.

The SEBO K3 is wonderfully quiet. The exhaust air passes through what looks like a cushy bumper around the perimeter of the canister. Hence, the name "Airbelt." This excellent design helps account for the quiet operation of the machine. This vacuum has a fingertip control right on the handle of the wand. This control allows infinite control over motor speed and hence suction. This control also allows you to turn the vacuum completely off. This is really nice: you don't have to bend over to turn the vacuum on and off. Finally, the SEBO has a very nice floor brush, and the Hoover has a bad one. You can buy a nice one for the Hoover though. Not expensive at all.

Finally, there is the issue of cost. For the price of the SEBO K3, you could buy somewhere between two and three top-of-the-line Hoover Wind Tunnels! Don't laugh, I'm making a serious comparison. You could buy two Hoovers, and keep one in storage. When your Hoover breaks, you send it in for repairs and switch over to the spare vacuum. Depending on the cost of the repairs, you might save some money versus buying the SEBO K3.

I actually thought about buying a RAIH (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Hoovers) but I found the idea repulsive. The next time you buy a vacuum cleaner, you will face the same dilemma that I did. Is it better to buy a moderately priced piece of junk, or a hugely expensive machine that is not junk?

Love the vacuum, but I'm not sure the warranty will be honored. I hope so. Vacuum came in a box, within which was the Sebo box with a big hole in it & the styrofoam broken. That was the first red flag. Then, when I went to register for warranty and put in the dealership code that was handwritten by the seller (SAMMY LABS), the Sebo website said it could not locate this dealer and I could not get a free extended warranty. Because the machine works well and would be a big hassle to send back, I'm keeping it. But I wish I'd purchased such an expensive product from an authorized dealership.
