I had some cheap LED bulbs in my house, not terrible, maybe a little dim. They didnt look good if I filmed anything indoors though, causing a 120hz flicker. Annoying but not a deal breaker. Recently the cheap bulbs began flickering enough I could see it while eating my cheerios. That’s too much flicker. I don’t like feeling like I live in the 1800’s, so I needed to find a better bulb.
Not being Thomas Edison, I opted to shop for existing bulbs on Amazon.
These Philips bulbs are great though! No flicker even when filming slomo video. Bright, clear, pleasant. There’s no funky wifi and they fit just fine. Totally reccomend and will be buying more of these to replace all the bulbs in my house.
I can eat my cheerios before dawn and not feel like my dining room is lit by gaslamp. Winning.

Unreliable Dimming
This Model # 9290030832 EyeComfort Ultra Definition Dimmable Warm Glow A19 bulb is a bit of an odd duck. It's nowhere to be found on the Signify or Philips web sites or in their Dimming Compatibility Guides, so I expect it was discontinued due to an apparent design flaw: It worked with less than half of the dimmers in my home that I tried it with. In 3 of 5 of them it won't turn on at all. This appears to be old stock from 2021 that is still available on Amazon in April 2023.I purchased it due to the advertised Warm Glow effect, which lowers the color temperature along with the brightness level. On the dimmers I tested where it worked, this does happen but not nearly to the level of an incandescent bulb. It's a neat idea that needs refinement. As is, this bulb is not a huge improvement over fixed-temp dimmable LED's.I have several other brands of dimmable LED's that work fine with my dimmers, even those manufactured long before LED's came on the market and new dimmers were specifically designed for use with them.Two big pluses for this bulb are that it does not flicker or hum, which can be real problems for other brands. But since the dimming is unreliable (and other people here have reported inconsistent dimming levels between multiple bulbs), I'll be returning it.
