Product Description

Swilling Pro is the most user-friendly knife available to market. The unique blade shape and ergonomic bolster are the result of 280 years of experience in knife making, and the rigorous Study of how knives are used. A unique curved bolster supports the professional pinch grip, with thumb and index finger on the blade, for safe cutting and less fatigue. The blade was redesigned with a broader curve in the front to facilitate the rocking motion of western cutting, while the straight back is ideal for the Asian chopping motion. The full length of the blade can be used when cutting and can be sharpened from bolster to tip designed in Italy by Matteo thin and made in Germany by ZWILLING J. A. Heckles, the company that sets the standard for exceptional cutlery worldwide. Set includes 4" Paring knife, 5. 5" Fine edge prep knife, 8" Traditional chef's knife, 8" Bread knife, kitchen shears, 9" Sharpening steel, and 16-slot ZWILLING Pro hardwood knife block. I already have some of these Zwilling PRO knives and they are the best I have ever used in all my years. The highest quality steel, holding an edge, balance and weight are outstanding. I've gone through a many kitchen knives from old timers to the fad ones. These are it, I got rid of all my other stuff. This set was actually a Christmas present to my daughter. She had used mine here and loved them so much she wanted information as to where she could get some. She is using everyday and loving them. The set is a good starter set with room in the block to add more knives as you go along. Follow the instructions on how to keep them sharp and you will be good to go for a long, long time.
Great quality and will last a lifetime!

I have had Zwiling knives in the past and regret that I had given them away when moving out of state.
I decided several months ago to purchase new cutlery and my mind went right to Zwilling.
I went back to Zwilling, simply because of the fine service their products provided in the past, and confidently made my purchase. Additionally purchased separately a Zwilling Pro 8 inch slicing knife, and a 5 inch utility knife to flesh out the block set.

These are primo knives and will be my final cutlery purchase.

I also added six steak knives to complete my needs, that were a wedding gift almost 50 years ago, of similar design and appearance (though stamped, not forged) and hold an edge very well, are not serrated (my preference for steak knives), and have provided excellent service.
