There are two plates and one cup with minor defects. The plates have glazing bubbles and one with a grey dot. The cup has a grey dot as well.Other than that they were packaged very well.

Great set of dinnerware, great price, GREAT buy!

This dinnerware looks great, washed great in the DW and could be used casually or formally. They are much lighter in weight than our old stoneware which was just what I was looking for. As such, they also stack well and take less space in our cabinet. Also ordered two serving bowls, oval and rectangular platters. They pair well with some older white pieces we already had. WELL packaged! Arrived quickly! The nice thing about all white is that we can pair patterned serving pieces if we want and I'm already eyeing a few on Amazon. Great buy!

Pictures show a plate that broke after 1 minute and 20 seconds in the microwave. The plate and the food were all still cold to the touch.
I don’t use the microwave much so this was likely the first time this particular dish was in the microwave. I’ve used these dishes in the microwave maybe a total of 3 or 4 times but there are so many, it wasn’t likely the same one.
I had another plate making strange noises after only 30 seconds in the microwave. I took it out, unbroken but I have never heard a plate creaking and popping in a microwave to the point the I was so concerned that I had to remove it. I have absolutely no problems with any of my other dishes or glass containers.
-EDIT- After another inspection, the plate that was making strange noises does have minor chipping on the face as if tiny pieces the size of a grains of sugar popped off. Also there is a metallic looking stain that has appeared below the surface.
For the price, these plates should be reliable in the microwave. Right now I have a giant stack of expensive dishes that I can’t use to heat anything and now I’m concerned about the dishwasher where they actually do get hot.
Seller contact and website are apparently down??? So I will try to contact them via phone but I’m not expecting much help.
