The Best Quality Best Designed Tool Bag So Far
I carry a tool bag every day for HVAC work. So, my review will be with that kind of work in mind. If you look at the pics, I emptied the Klein backpack and put it all in the smaller, lighter Crescent 14" bag. Everything has a slot and fits real well, with everything at your fingertips. I must admit it's a little more cramped, but the organization is so much better it easier to get to stuff. One side has pockets of all kinds and sizes, and the other side has a bit larger pockets and has just a bit more room or stuff in the bottom. The whole bag weighs quite a bit less than the backpack and is actually easier to carry. I like the two sided setup as it makes finding tools easy without have a ton of different compartments to search through. The shoulder strap rides higher than a normal bag and the whole thing carries more like a backpack, very nicely done.As to the quality of construction, well I read the previous reviews and I'm not sure what happened there. Some complained of the stitching and rivets being low quality and poor workmanship. Well, you got a completely different bag than I did, is all I can say. The stitching is first class and strong. The rivets are perfect. This bag is easily as well built, or better than the Klein bags. It is just as sturdy and uses the same heavy material. I can't imagine having any problems with it falling apart. I'm kind of middle of the road, I take care of my tools and bags, but I don't baby them, so they get plenty of use. I doubt that I can trash it. I would put the quality above Milwaukee, CLC etc and at least as good or better than Klein. The bag has a fantastic plastic bottom that not only keeps things dry but also makes the bag sit up straight no matter what you do in the bag. One of my pet peeves is a bag that constantly falls over or slouches with the load of tools, this one is sturdy, and sits up strong, like a bag should. There are other well built bags that cost four times what this bag costs and I've always thought they were grossly overpriced and far too heavy, but they are built like tanks too. So, for my money this is a better thought out bag, with just as good quality and for a whole lot less. Believe me, I'd carry anything I want, and this is it, til someone invents a better mousetrap.UPDATE 4/17/2022After carrying this bag daily for well over a year, it's still as good as new and I'm still liking it. I have only made one change to it and that was to cut the keeper nylon on the side of the bag with all the tools, so that it would open wider and lay flatter when I'm working. It gives me somewhere to lay things and makes getting to the inside bottom of the bag much easier. The web that keeps the bag from opening all the way is made of the same heavy nylon as the rest of the bag, and I just don't have enough life left for it to wear in and open as fully as I would like, so I trimmed it out.Other than that one change the bag is everything I could hope for. I can't bring myself to carry open top bags, as too much dirt and debris will get it and when it rains they hold water, not good. So, it's a closed bag for me. I can't tell you how many times I've finished a job and closed up the bag to run back to the truck in the rain and this one works great for that.

Hundreds of bags on the market like this ad on Amazon. Some with OK quality and some high-quality. This fits in the latter of the two. Put together really well. With tons of pockets on the outside. Get compliments from a bitch lots of people regarding it. I only have a couple things on my wish list for it. The handle itself seems flimsy as I hace about 80 pounds in mine and when its extended and under load, I feel like it’s going to bend and break. Also, the placement of the pockets inside are very minimal. I wish there were more and they’re all placed on the front wall which is not my idea of a good place for them all to be located. Lastly, it be nice if you could purchase additional pocket or something to add to the carrier or exterior can I can build your own thing

Starting from the front the first thing you come to is a flap. This is gusseted and is large enough to securely hold a large sized, medium weight jacket. I can just wad it up and shove it in there (one of the reasons I wanted the bag).

Directly above that is a small pouch. Interestingly enough it's not zippered but rather is held closed by a magnetic catch. While this may sound cool I really wasn't sure what to use it for. It needed to be something I use often that I can just grab real quick but not something I may need because you can never be sure it won't fall out. A zippered pouch would hold items securely but with this you'd never know how or where or when you lost something. It's also not very big so safety glasses won't fit inside.

The main compartment is medium sized and perfect for my use, but if you need to carry power tools like drills or ratchet guns you may want to look else were. The zippers are sturdy, however you can't just unzip the top and reach in. You pretty much have to fully unzip it to have access. There is room for your most common used hand tools and a zippered cargo net pouch for smaller items, but if you have a large tool set would be cramped. I'm a field service tech and have to work on a wide variety of equipment from all different manufactures. Everything from the latest technology in dental milling to equipment that was old back in the 90's and no longer made. As such I have to carry a lot of odd ball/custom tools which is what I wanted this for. If you're profession is more heavy machinery or construction then this isn't the bag for you.

Next is the laptop compartment. A 14 inch laptop fits in here but also contacts the zipper when you go to close it. Once inside there is about a finger width between the laptop and the and the inside top of the bag. I really don't think a larger laptop will fit very well. There are two pockets, one of which will fit the charger and the other is the same size for oddball stuff. Curiously there is not zippered cargo net pouch here. This is exactly the area where you would want to put all your thumb drives and such that you can easily see and grab, but no such luck. They would either have to go in the cargo pouch in the previous compartment or hang around loose causing you to root around to find them. Defiantly a missed opportunity.

Lastly we come to the shoulder straps (one of the reasons I send the bag back). The bottom of the straps are not attached at the bottom of the bag but rather about 1/3 of the way up. This makes for a smaller opening and if you're like me and want to grab the bag one handed and sling it over your shoulder you're going to have problems. Granted, I'm rather tall but my elbow could never cleanly pass through the bottom. I'd have to grab the top of the shoulder strap with one hand and the bottom with the other, pull it open some more, then slide my elbow through. I've never had this issue with any computer bag. As I would slide my arm through it would come in contact with the bag. The bag is made of a courser material (probably for durability) but this caused abrasions on my forearm and elbow (the other reason I sent it back). While not noticeable (yet) it was enough of a discomfort to make me ditch this bag.

Believe me I really wanted this to work, but nope.

I bought this bag two years ago and use it almost daily for my home repair business. It has been a great bag, with plenty of compartments for all of my tools, and the rolling feature is great. Unfortunately, the handle stopped working well, and then completely broke a few days ago. But when I contacted the company, they immediately replied to my request for replacement parts, by offering to send me a whole new bag, free of charge. That is the kind of company that I will continue to do business with! Highly recommend!

Llego rápido y en buen estado, tiene muy buena calidad y se ve muy resistente. Su funcionamiento tal cual para herramientas lo cual es algo pesada pero así no se rompe tan fácil.

Solid Zippers, heavey material, Stands on its own, pack pack or hand carry, adjustable while you wear it. Clean modest look.

Love these crescent tool bags, very good quality and value for the price. They also stand up to the test of time for everyday use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific Bag - everything the big boys have at a lesser price. (Although still expensive)

Style: 14" Closed Top Tool BagVerified Purchase

Ive had alot of tool bags in my career, and so far this is a top 2 for me (14" closed top). I keep my everyday tools in here and theres room for more. Its good quality, sturdy construction and lightweight. The base is molded plastic which was a must for me. 2 large pockets on either side open up, plenty of pockets for screwdrivers and whatnot and enough room to fit a m12 with a 4ah battery easily. Now i chose the smaller 14" bag so i knew my hammer wouldnt fully fit inside, but the 16" should fit a hammer no problem. Its a nice compact size similar to the veto bags but at half the cost. I am changing from the big klein backpack and the weight/size difference is just night and day. This bag is half the size and 1/3rd the weight of my klein and still fits everything I need, with the quality and feel of a Klein.
Id say ive put around 30 - 40 pounds/14 - 18kg of tools in the bag. It definitely can take more but its not worth the strain to carry it.
Time will tell how durable the bag is tho, but i will do an update at a later date if anything arises.
It is tough to tell through pictures how much you would like the bag without actually touching it and testing it but i am satisfied with my purchase.

Hope this review helps.
