    Programmable Software

Compared with the TH80, we upgrade the TH80 PRO software version from V200 to V500 so that you may not only remap your favorite keys, customize per-key rgb, setup and record macros commands for your preferable system, you can also adjust the sleep time, have more Fn combination function for your chooice. By simply pressing FN+Z/X/C to switch between the FN1/FN2/FN3 layer, press FN+Space to check which layer your keyboard is on

    th80 pro

Whats the difference between TH80 Pro and the non-pro?

Compared to the TH80, the TH80 PRO has many new function. Such as, Automatically switch computer systems; Fn layer programmable in the driver; More Fn combinations: Check Battery; Support changing per-key RGB....

How do I know how much battery left on the TH80 PRO keyboard?

You can press FN+B to check the remaining battery. When your keyboard is fully charged, the green lights of 1-0 keys will turn on. If the keyboard is down to 90% battery, only the 1-9 key's green light will turn on. ...

How to remove the white light mode(ctrl+backspace)?

We already removed the white light mode(Pressing Ctrl+Backspace) for the th80 pro keyboard.

Why is the ctrl button always green? Is this defective?

It means the keyboard is being charged, you may download the firmware to update the keyboard, then the green light will be on for 10 seconds after the keyboard is connected and then off.

Can you change out the knob? Or is it permanently stuck to the board?

The metal knob is hotswappable thus you may replace it with other color knobs

Linux user review. Extremely impressed with the TH80.
    4 out of 5 stars
Linux user review. Extremely impressed with the TH80.
-A forewarning for Linux users, the TH80 is not supported in OpenRGB. I would be wary of buying this KB unless you have access to a PC running Windows, so that you can install Epomaker's software to control this board's lighting. Other than macros, which I have no reason to use so I didn't test, lighting and rebinds will save to the KB, so you will not need to be plugged into a Windows PC after you've made any changes you want.-Overall, I was extremely impressed for the $90 I paid. I've used much more expensive KBs in the past. My most recent KBs are a Ducky One 3 and a Keychron K10. Both range from $120-$150 and I have modded both. Compared to those modded, the typing experience out of the box of this KB was of even higher quality than those. If you want a cheap, 75%, high quality experience, KB that you don't want/need to mod, I'm for sure going to recommend this to everyone in the future.-The keycaps were not something I put any thought into when I first ordered this. After using it for a day, I'm in love with these caps. They're by far my favorite, and that's coming from an $80 set from Kinetic Labs. These caps have a very average sound profile. The actual physical profile I love. They're an MDA profile, they have a very rounded edge, a very smooth glossy texture, and are extremely comfortable for all uses. The MDA profile makes my fingers feel almost cushioned in the center of each key on the home row due to its more concave shape.-For switches, I ordered the Budgerigars. If you don't know which switch you want, I highly recommend the Flamingos over any of the other options. For tactile switches, the Budgerigars are VERY tactile. Fun to type on, but my fingers had noticeable strain after a couple hours of gaming. I'm sure I would have gotten used to them, but I also wanted to try out Epomaker's Flamingo switches, which I ordered separately. Both switches are lightly factory lubed. This board goes better with linears or a light tactile switch IMO.-The knob is cool. Mine came with the red one. It's fairly smooth which isn't ideal, but it does have tactile points. Default control is Volume up/down and mute on the click. I prefer it default.-The RGB brightness is adequate. I would say it's bright enough to shine through most non translucent switches just fine. The on-board RGB controls aren't great, so unfortunately you need the software to really do what you want. In my 2 photos, I have the RGB set to a static blue for the entire board. The F row has the Budgerigar switches, and the rest of the board has Hippo Linears. That's why there are 2 different colors.-The software is good. For a KB software, it's above average. Rebinds and RGB settings will save to the board, so you will not have to run it unless you want to change something. You can change things while being used with the 2.4Ghz dongle, not sure about Bluetooth.-Wireless works as expected. Bluetooth is fine, works like all other boards I have that have Bluetooth. 2.4Ghz dongle works as expected. I've seen some others say they cannot use the dongle or have connectivity issues if they have another 2.4Ghz dongle plugged in for another device. I did not experience this. For my use case, I have a 2nd PC running Windows that I have the dongle plugged into, and my main computer I have the KB plugged in with USB. Switching between PCs works surprisingly seamlessly. I press Fn+4 to switch to wireless, to use my Windows PC, then Fn+5 to switch back to wired mode for my Linux PC. From what I can tell, the toggle switch on the bottom of the board just turns the battery on or off. If the battery is set to on, the KB will still function over USB if it's plugged in through USB.-Foam is fine. Comes with 2 pieces. 1 in the bottom of the case, it's very thin, and 1 between the PCB and plate.-Stabilizers are average cheap ones. They have plenty of lube. Mine were loose, so I do recommend bandaid modding them at the very least.-Actual sound of the board is decent. It's deep, like most plastic cases, and very solid. The latter is mostly due to the overall weight. It weights a good amount, almost as much as my full size KBs, which is good.Amazing budget board. Better than a lot of mid range boards.

The custom keyboard hobby can be very expensive, so this is a great budget board with a fairly premium feel that still gives you room to customize if you so desire. For reference, I got the 75% size TH80 Pro version of the keyboard with the Monet keycaps and Gateron Pro Yellow switches. For those new to the smaller sized keyboards, an instruction manual is provided that has a guide to setting up the wireless settings, RGB settings, and the function keys combinations for missing special keys.

The switches are buttery smooth, the MDA profile keycaps feel great and may just be the best profile I've worked on, and the knob works as expected and has some tactile feedback which is nice.

The build of the board feels solid and has more weight to it than I was expecting, but also has a very "thocky" sound to it right out of the box that many enthusiasts strive for. The switches and stabilizers are factory lubed which you can see when removing the keycaps, and best of all, it's hot swappable so you're not stuck with the keycaps and switches that you initially order.

If I had any complaints, it's that the stabilizers for the spacebar could probably be dampened a bit more, which some people may do with a bandage strip, but it's a trivial complaint.

All in all, I'm very happy with the keyboard. As much as I liked the Monet MDA profile keycaps, I wanted to use my Lord of the Rings MT3 profile caps (purchased separately from Drop) on this board.

Let me start by saying that you absolutely cannot beat this keyboard at this price point. I was in search of a keyboard with a nice "thock" sound and lots of searching led me to this.

Everything came in the box properly, including a couple extra switches, the USB-C to USB-A cable, manual, a keycap/switch puller, and even a couple extra keycaps. I was immediately impressed with the build quality of the board, it's nice and heavy. Upon plugging it into my PC it automatically lit up, and even the RGB on this is awesome. I will note that I struggled to get it connected to my PC via Bluetooth, but once I let it sit and charge for a bit, it connected right away.

This was my first board with this particular type of keycap and it's definitely taken some getting used to, I've found that I unintentionally press a lot of keys. However, I actually ended up loving this profile more than any other I've tried. If you aren't loving the keycap profile, I'd highly recommend just visiting the Epomaker website or shop on amazon for different keycaps to swap them with. because the board itself is worth the money without the keycaps.

As for the battery, I'm once again impressed. I fully charged it once I received it probably three weeks ago, and have been using it daily for about 6 hours a day and according to my PC, the battery is still at 85%. That being said, I don't use the RGB pretty much ever, so you probably won't get as much battery life out of it if you're running the RGB constantly.

All in all, if you're in your search for a keyboard that gives off a nice "thock" that you don't have to put any work into, this should be where your search ends. I highly recommend this board.

Hello, this is my first and only mechanical keyboard so far. I've used it for about 6 months now. I use it mainly for gaming (FPS) and work. I have Gateron Yellow Pros for the switches and I love it!!

    Mods added:
+ 2x O-rings for each keycap (I like how this dampened the sound a lot, and reduce travel distance)
    + Lube

    Pros:
+ Straight out of the box, it's great (but the mods made it waay better)
    + feels buttery smooth
+ low actuation force. Doesn't tire your fingers out from long typing/gaming.
    + Switch tools included.
+ Great RGB light customization. Can change speed, color and patterns. Looks very pretty.
+ Device switching from my PC to work laptop is seamless and easy to set up.
    + knob for volume control.

    Cons:
+ About 3 switches were faulty but there were 5 extra replacement included, so no star deducted.
+ Gateron Yellow pros should be pre-lubed - but I still had to lube them, it made a big difference.

This is a nice keyboard. I like the compact size and the feel of the keys are very nice. The LED lights work well but they don't really help you see the keys in the dark because on this particular unit, the letters/numbers do not light up, only the background.

    Pro
    - Feel of the keys is good. This is a reasonable keyboard for programmers
    - LED lights are programmable and effective
    - Allows a wired connection in addition to wireless

    Con
    - Occasionally a single keypress causes a double letter click
    - The letters on the keys don't light up so you can't read them in the dark.
    - There is no home key and no end key. These keys are very useful to programmers but are missing. Other compact keyboards include these keys. Mac has a key sequence you can use instead but there isn't a good substitute for these on Windows.

This was on sale for $70 so I snagged one. Unbeatable quality and the sound knob is a sweet bonus.

I honestly didn't expect much from this keyboard given its price, but was pleasantly surprised. This thing rocks. The gateron yellow are great switches, the 2.4ghz connection is lightning fast, the battery life is great, it has so many features, the list goes on. The point is, if you want a keyboard for this price, dont look anywhere else, this is the one you want.

I wanted a fairly priced board to customize as someone newer to the hobby. My first board was a 60% and I really missed my arrow keys as someone who works at their pc a lot. I don’t like bigger boards because I find they take up too much space and I think they don’t look super good when all those keys are squished together. I love the more spaced out look of this one and the reasonable price, and idc what anyone says I loooove having that knob in the corner. Rgb is good and it’s hot swappable which I love. Came with the gateron yellows and they sounded pretty good right out of the box. It’s also got a great weight to it that I like. Overall, it’s a decent keyboard straight from the box, but with a new set of keycaps and some banana split switches it was even better. It came with a key puller too, which was nice. My only issue was that I wanted to change out the knob too, and the only options were other neutral colours. I DIY’d one that was meant for something else and it looks alright but doesn’t sit flush on the board like the original unfortunately. Haven’t found any good alternative online either, and the official ones only come in black, gold, and white ): but all good I’m sure spray paint was also an option for those less lazy than me.

I usually don't do reviews but I thought I should make one about this....
Even though I bought the keyboard with tactile switches (Budgerigar) instead of my preferred linear switches, I was fairly surprised at how my mistake turned into a surprising delight.

    - The Budgerigar switches made the keyboard sound fairly "thocky", which is what most enthusiasts strive to make their keyboard sound. Though in my opinion, they sounded close to "clacky" out of the box. But using this board since I bought it, I've decided they are "thocky" out of the box. There were three extra switches that were included. Spring ping was bad for four switches on the board.

    - The keyboard comes with a switch puller and keycaps puller along with three extra switches, a 2.4ghz dongle, a white straight wire also for connectivity, and decorated keycaps (with window command?).

    - Hot-swappable with 3 to 5-pin switches.

    - Dual-stage risers. Yum.

    - Stabilizers were solid on the board with lots of lube. However, my stabilizers weren't as tuned as I'd like with lots of rattles (easy fix, I get what I paid for).

    - South-facing RBG LEDs produce very nice lighting. This also includes lots of modes to choose from and customization of colours inside EPOMAKER's software.

    - The 2.4ghz dongle has a little spot on the back of the keyboard for storage so you don't lose it. When my brother games with it he doesn't notice any delays (he steals all my keyboards for "testing" when he's around).

    - The inclusion of a knob. Who doesn't like knobs? The knob provides fast volume adjustments on the fly with nice tactical bumps and mute/unmute with a nice click. You can also program the knob in EPOMAKER's software as well.

    - Modding the keyboard sounds way better than stock (highly recommend it if you can). Perhaps I'm weak (most likely) but getting the skirt off this keyboard was a nightmare. I don't think I've struggled this much before on taking off a skirt (I have battle scars).

    - Modding the board was extremely simple, take off the knob and set it aside before you start though. There are two screws behind the dual-stage risers and a skirt in your way of the goods. There's not much space for you in there to mod the keyboard. I'd recommend using foam and tape mod on the PCB. You can also do a silicone pour but make sure you angle the case before you do and plug up all possible holes.

    - For gaming, I myself would not use the Budgerigar switches for the types of games that include lots of tapping. Example, "osu!". At first, using the switches the tactile bumps were barely felt. Then I found myself getting tired faster while playing said example and the tactile bumps on the switches got more pronounced.

    - Typing with this keyboard is very fun! Feels like popping those really sturdy bubble wraps.

I think that's all! Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

    Con:

    - Still can't pronounce the switch's name when people ask about them :D.

    EDIT!:
Forgot to mention that these are MDA profile keycaps! They are fairly nice with clear legends (some of the legends look disproportionate in my eyes). They do need to get used to though.
