You can tell you've got a good charger by the weight. My ANKERS which I keep as part of our hurricane readiness supplies -- we live on the Florida coast -- are good quality and feel like lead weights (is that where they got that name?) So does this baby. And I love the convenience of wireless charging! It's one of those advances that come with living in the 21st Century. I don't have to take my phone and leave it with the charger, I can bring the voltage to the couch or the easy chair...wherever I am. Although intended for Apple devices, it works great with my Samsung S20 (or any Qi type wireless device) and as a bonus, will fire up my Air Pods at the same time.
The Satechi Duo Wireless Charger Power Stand is a portable 3-in-1 Qi charger with an integrated 10000 mAh power bank, allowing you to charge up to three devices at a time. It features the Qi charger for smarthphones (10W Max) (7.5W for iPhones), a Qi AirPods charger (5W Max) and a USB-C port (18W Max), when no other device is being charged. I didn't know this, but the power bank can be charged through the USB-C port when it is not used to charge other devices. So, its like a backup battery pack too.
According to the ad, the portable charger power bank provides 2.3 full charges for iPhone 14 Pro, 2 charges for Galaxy S22 and 1 charge for iPad Mini 6, to keep devices powered all day long. The power bank can be charged fully (100%) in 3 hours using an 18W wall adapter and a USB-C cable. The power bank meets FAA travel requirement (IEC62368) so you can take it on a plane.
It has a foldable design and can be used as a stand or lying flat as a wireless charging pad. Charge your devices by connecting the wireless charging station to a power supply via the USB-C port or use it on the go as a power bank charger. It charges the iPhone directly through cases up to 5 mm thickness. Note: The phone wireless charger does not charge the phone magnetically, although it can be used to charge MagSafe devices.
It easy and intuitive to use - the power bank has a blue LED light on the front of the charger that will pulse when only one device is connected and move left to right when 2 devices are charging wirelessly. When a device doesn’t support Qi charging or is placed wrongly, LED will flash orange (not charging). The power bank has white LED lights found to the left of the USB-C port indicating available battery. It also has an auto off feature that will turn off the power bank after 5 min. of inactivity. I ordered the Satechi Duo Wireless Charger Stand & 10000mAh Power Bank. It is February 6, 2023. Let's see if it passes The Final Test!$$) For the inconceivable sum of $100, this had better be the perfect blend of power bank and wireless charger. There are no room for errors at this point, especially with competition coming in at around 1/3 of the cost.+1) Very Solid Build QualityThe lower 3/4 of the device is made of a cold and unforgiving metallic material. Some might say aluminum and I would say that's a safe bet given Satechi's prolific use of it in some of their other products. The hinge for the wireless charger is one that would make Panos Panay cry with joy, yet it does not pass the classic laptop "one finger" opening test. However, the way the rest for your phone angles slightly as you unfold the charger brings me ridiculous glee.-2) The Size is ... Nothing SpecialI have a sub $20 10000mAh power bank, albeit not with wireless charging, but you can see there's not really a significant size difference. Some of the bulk thickness of the Satechi I would attribute to the wireless chargers themselves.-3) Unfold Required for Multi-ChargingThat's right, the 2nd wireless charger is hidden beneath the folding one, so if you need to wirelessly charge two items at once, it has to be unfolded. Would this ever be an issue? The most impressive thing for me about this charger is the fact it can charge my phone (Galaxy s10+) in a landscape orientation. It is perfect for watching videos while doing things, as I don’t have a case with a stand. I have not fully tested whether it is actually 10,000 mAh, but it completely recharges my phone at least 1 1/2 times. And the wireless charging is fast charging.
The 2 biggest cons I have found about this is the magnet in the back part for airpods moves my headphones to not be centered (see video). The other is the price. I don’t think it is worth the hefty $100 price tag.
