Great wifi lever lock
I have used many different locks over the last decade but this one is one of my favorites. I purchased two lever locks for outside gates to control access to our front courtyard and out backyard, I didn't get the fingerprint version as I was going more for multiple service people which would make it more difficult to add new users. The locks were very easy to install and program and interface to Smartthings.One of the things I like about this lock is that by using the app, I can add temporary users and schedule their access which has not been available from Smartthings anymore since they implemented their new version. Another thing I like about this lock is that it can be set to three modes: normal access, pass-through, and lockout. I had an occasion to use the pass-through recently as I had an installer coming to install new fiber optic cable who would need access to our gated yard. When the installer said he was about there two hours early, I simply set the backyard gate lock to pass-through. A great enhancement would be to be able to schedule lock modes so one could set pass-through to for example 8-5 M-F and normal user access the rest of the time. Another improvement would be to add locks to a defined user rather than having to add a user (and code) to each lock. I would rank 5 stars with these two additionsI noticed several comments on battery life in prior reviews. My two locks have been installed over a month and I have seen no battery degradation. I installed one lock the batteries that came with the lock and the other with Ni-MH rechargeables for the other lock. Neither lock have shown reduced battery levels from the start. I use Smartthings to see the battery levels as they report percentages versus the app which only shows High, Medium, and maybe Low. The regular batteries still show about 95% (High) and the rechargeables around 79% (Medium) (max charge for rechargeables is 80%). Both lock have fairly low usage - about 4-8 times a week.
