The Original ErgoErgo

This stool is exactly what I wanted! I’ve only been using it for a couple of weeks now, but I feel like my posture at work is already improving. I do think it should have come with a recommendation to begin use in short increments (as sitting all day on that kind of stool has the potential of making you pretty sore), but I had fortunately read that on a similar product previously.

The seat does flex when sitting on it, but I think it’s made to do that. It does not collapse, but it is nice and flexible and adjusts to how you want to sit. I am quite short and this fits me well!

I was looking for an active chair with all the bells and whistles but ultimately decided on this seat as an way to test whether I could experience any of the benefits I've read can come from active sitting.

Long story short, I do enjoy this seat. I find myself moving more, my posture is improved, and my knees are no longer sore (because this seat doesn't allow me to curl up and sit in my feet). I feel a bit more focused when I work too, but I can't prove that this relates solely to this seat.

I do find that sometimes my tailbone hurts with extended use (10+hours over a day) even if I'm getting up regularly, which really stinks. But I don't regret the purchase, especially for the price point in comparison to other chairs I was looking at.

I got the ErgoErgo stool to replace a kneeling chair that I loved but that was, well, ugly. Fortunately, the ErgoErgo stool is even better than my ugly kneeling chair -- and it actually looks cool! I find that I enjoy sitting at my desk to work now. I find it comfortable for 8+ hours of working at a time. At $100, I would definitely say the stool is a great deal if you're looking for alternative seating for your workspace.

When I first got it, I thought it felt and looked cheap. It was so cold out and the item was left out on the porch for me when I got home, so it was very cold. I decided to give it a try as intended, which is to be my work from home desk chair. It is fun to sit on and I can get on it from any direction. It is still cold to sit on so I use a small seat cushion, but i might like that in the summer. I don't know if it is doing anything for my core but it is just fun, the kids even like to get on it.

I've been teleworking since March and had been using a simple kitchen chair as my work-chair. Every time I got up after sitting for long periods of time, my lower back hurt, and I had to work out the kinks.
