  • 12-HOUR PROTECTION. You’ll love the ultra-soft silicone catch, which holds up to 6 super tampons-worth of fluid (70 mL). Flex Reusable Disc also features a firm rim that prevents leaks and seals in odors. Swim, sleep, squat, summit, and do everything you love to do when you’re not on your period.
  • UNREAL COMFORT. You might even forget you’re on your period. Flex Reusable Disc sits further back in the vagina, in a place called the vaginal fornix (just beneath the cervix). Once it’s in, you can’t feel it. Upgrade your feminine care!

What is the easy insertion notch on Flex Reusable Disc?

The patented notch on Flex Reusable Disc creates a narrower point on one end after pinching the disc for easier insertion. All you'll do is pinch the disc with the notch facing towards you and insert!

What's the difference between Flex Reusable Disc and other reusable menstrual discs?

Flex Reusable Disc is expertly designed with a patented notch for easy insertion and a sturdy non-slip rim for an easy removal. It's made with premium, ultra-soft medical-grade silicone and has a high capacity of 70mL (that's 6+ super tampons)!

How long does Flex Reusable Disc last?

Flex Reusable Disc lasts for years with proper care. Don't forget to try out Flex Foaming Cleanser to help extend the lifespan of your disc. Follow the Instructions for Use within the box for all cleaning, care, and usage information.

How do I clean Flex Reusable Disc in between wears?

For in between wears, use a mild soap like Flex Foaming Cleanser. Rinse in cool water to help prevent staining, then switch to warm water with cleanser. Massage the entire surface, rinse, and air dry. Store in it's cotton pouch in a cool, dry place.

Will Flex Reusable Disc work for a heavy period?

Yes! Flex Reusable Disc works great for all flows because of its high capacity of 70mL (6+ super tampons) and it won't dry you out. On heavy days, try hands-free emptying on the toilet. Just remember to tuck the disc back into place when done!

Way easier than the cup - good tampon replacement

Way easier than the cup - good tampon replacement
I have struggled immensely with using products other than tampons. Previously, I'd bought multiple cups and just for the life of me couldn't figure out how to get them to insert correctly. Ended up giving up our of sheer frustration and was back to tampons. With the studies on tampons coming out recently around heavy metals, I'd rather be safe than sorry so decided to give these a try. I tried the disposable version first and they were great. They're definitely thinner than the reusable version but great to experiment with and see if you like them. I struggled a bit to figure out insertion (I'm not a big fan of digging around up there) but once I figured out where it should set, it was perfect. No pain, discomfort or anything. Also way easier to go to the bathroom with. No need to remove everytime or anything like that.I did have a few very small leaks the first day but believe that was user error.Immediately ordered the reusable version and it's definitely thicker and was slightly harder to insert just because it's a bit bigger and pops open more, but I actually think the thicker will guard against the little leaks I had.I would absolutely recommend to anyone and everyone who hated cups but wants something else.
Thank you for your feedback

I feel like I should rate it four stars because there is room for improvement, but there are so many pros, I don't really want them to panic and change it too much.

Used the Nixit for several years. Took a break because I had my fourth baby. I loved a disc but to be honest it lightly leaked especially on super heavy days. Not always, but unpredictable spotting or nothing, so you really need a light pad with it. I have vulvodynia so the slightest irritation is like the end of the world in terms of hygiene products, rubbing, pressure, stems etc down there. Pads literally make me sore and aching skin within a couple days, they also are messy and have an odor and you can't wait to shower daily because you feel so unclean. I have used tampons but they come with a lot of risk, they are hard to gauge, too much absorbency and you get the dry tampon removal experience, or too little and it is leaking and sopping, plus that string is not just a little gross hanging around waiting to collect bacteria and infect you. I used cups for a while but they are not great with vulvodynia and you can end up feeling pretty desperate and raw by the end of your cycle even with stems trimmed off. Also getting suction every time when inserting can actually be tricky and you can really be in a panic on the toilet trying five and six times over and over, nope it is pushing itself back out, nope, slid out, why isn't it working, three different folds etc. At night is fine because you don't walk around so no friction or disturbance in suction from activities. Also, have you gotten it suctioned way up so you can't get it out? I have and my husband had to be called for assistance and even then we almost didn't get it out. Scary.

Well after my period returned five months postpartum, I got the Flex reusable. I was looking for a disc that was clear to avoid dyed silicone. It is amazingly designed (yes I bought it not a paid promo).

Compared to Nixit- Nixit is pink silicone, Flex is clear (much prefer clear, many people hate it but honestly 1) I want to see to clean it, not like a navy blue cup or tie dyed pinks and reds so you don't even know what you're washing 2) there is nothing we know about silicone colorants, the v is acidic can it eventually leach after being inside for days and days every month? one brand has cobalt titanate to color the disc and I looked it up and in pubmed there is currently carcinogen concern over the use of that even for medical device colorant but FDA currently still has it approved for use, not fussy about using a potential carcinogen near my cervix, sure the clear might yellow a bit but literally who is going to see that and I cheerfully trade it off for more safety assurance
Nixit is about the same size as Flex in diameter, not noticeable
Nixit is a thicker silicone material, Flex is incredible slim and streamlined and the pouch on the disc is like silicone Saran wrap
Nixit has a double rim leaving a groove in between the rims, Flex is smooth (I do not like the groove because it is hard to clean gunk out and I have to run my nail in between or stuff actually builds up in there, yuck)
Nixit rim is very soft and squishy incl rim, Flex is very soft and silky but the rim is firmer and springier more effort to pinch
Nixit doesn't have a notch in the rim, Flex does (get rid of the notch! It doesn't help insert it at all and actually causes more twisting and difficulty and is a hard firm tip instead of a firm rounded insertion point. In fact it twisted so badly and folded up all over the place and turned into figure 8, I contacted the company and they said try turning it around so notch end goes in last not first in and ha, it worked)
Because the rim is firmer on flex, I have no way to compare but people who aren't as stretched out inside as I am from birthing large babies might be a bit daunted by getting it in and accommodating it. I might be wrong though but somehow it seems more substantial inserting it than Nixit.
Nixit is easier to insert in my opinion, the rim is firmer and the bottom is so silky on Flex it is actually a bit tricky to pinch the two sides together without one side trying to already twist under the other.
Nixit leaks some because it is so soft it just must bend too much with activity. It is quite quite good and I still don't mind wearing it but don't do it on a heavy day, or you just should accept lightly leaking on and off at random. I am insanely impressed how despite all it has to do, you put the Flex and if you got it right, it is IN and you can confidently wear no pad on a heavy day. I farm, I was chasing escaped calves. I mowed. NO LEAKS. Except please be careful because I was on a heavy day, and was so enthralled by the Flex doing it's job I didn't empty it (sometimes it will auto dump but sometimes not if you don't do #2), I went 8 hours between emptying, I sat on the couch strangely maybe cross legged or on one leg and heard a sound and bled thru everything. I think it dumped on me.
You can wear both when going #2, but you'll prob want to check with a clean finger it is back up under the pubic bone after. Nixit is more likely to sag down more.
Nixit removal is like a blood bath. Flex there is a small amount of extra blood but I think the thin thin wrinkly silicone pouch part somehow collapses in on the blood and mostly contains it while removing it. I don't care about blood with removal, just grateful it wasn't in a pad and on me but it definitely is a plus to have less of it all over when removing the Flex.
I haven't slept with it in yet. I have tried the Nixit and once I couldn't pee when I got up in night, and got so scared I never wore a disc at night again and use a cup (saalt soft). I tried last night for first time in a few years and I had been sore on inner pubic bone from trying to get the Flex in repeatedly and failing plus the notch nonsense (it was like my anatomy had shifted, low cervix??? Trick is relax, push down low with the disc and aim down towards tailbone to almost scoop under cervix. ). Lying down didn't feel good with the rim on sore spot so I took it out and wore Rael depends disposable organic underwear. I'll try the flex at night next. So far the Flex isn't causing urine retention or any discomfort even with my vaginal pain issues which is pretty something in fact.

Hope this lengthy review helps you as I have others' reviews. So far I'm favoring the Flex reusable disc right now. Nixit is ok but it is less iron clad in my opinion in terms of leaking. I feel like nothing is happening when on period and wearing Flex. Clean, dry, not sore, no cramps, no sick feeling in stomach, and can keep a social calendar without wondering what awful gross bathroom you'll be forced to carry out tampon removal and pad changes, could even wear a white dress and not worry at all. (I would always still wear backup if I wore white lol). But having to change it every few hours or be worried about tss or leaking everywhere is great.

And please do not ever get rid of the option to purchase clear undyed color style. Flex is the only one on market with a clear disc!

I hit a point of desperation, after a year of multiple Dr. visits, severe cramping, HEAVY bleeding and a fibroid surgery, I realized that there is no quick fix for my bleeding and needed to find a way to adapt. I was bleeding through tampons in an hour and as a first responder I don’t have any control over when I can use the restroom. So I was constantly leaking and had to use pads in addition to tampons, which I can’t stand, and left me feeling gross 99% of the time.

I was hesitant to try this at first. It seemed a little complicated and was unsure how the heck it was supposed to fit inside of me or if the size/shape would add to my severe cramping..

This is absolutely amazing!!! I read all of the reviews and the tips and tricks which really helped! In my experience it’s super comfortable (it did take a day or two to get used to) and I can’t feel it at all. I can use the restroom and if I see red then I know I need to adjust it. I wash my hands before I use the bathroom so then do a quick, then wash again and I’m done! I do have a very heavy, painful flow so the self emptying feature helps a lot and so far I’ve had no leaks! Still getting used to the feeling like when I squat down am I going to have an issue? But the only time it actually shifts out of position is when I’m using the restroom and it actually needs to be emptied. I’d probably wear a panty liner if I’m doing a heavy leg day but other than that I’m 100% comfortable and confident!

I was desperate for something I could wear a lot, long periods of time and for many days in a row, because tampons irritate me and for the last year I had a fibroid that was causing bleeding for 3 weeks out of the month. I ended up dealing with bv and discomfort due to the constantly moist environment because they don’t make tampons absorbent enough. Or I’d be raw because I wasn’t bleeding enough for the tampon I used.

This disc does not bother me at all! I think it’s less irritating bc I only have to “change” it AM/PM instead of tampons in and out all day long! A little soap and water and it’s back to brand new! I saw some people sharing about discoloration even after one cycle and I haven’t had any on mine so far just give it a thorough cleaning with soap and warm water!

If you have a very light flow or are using it just for spotting I could see maybe a dab of lube on the leading edge if you’re sensitive, it could help but for me I don’t think it’s necessary!

I’ve only been using this for about a week and will update my review if anything changes. But so far it is wayyy more comfortable, way cleaner and all around amazing!! I didn’t even truly grasp the amount of stress and anxiety I was experiencing until I finally felt this relief!!!

***also I am not getting anything for sharing my experience, I have just been desperate for so long and am so grateful to have finally taken the leap!

5.0 out of 5 stars Flex Reusable Disc is my Go-To 👍🏼

Super happy that Amazon.ca carries the Flex Reusable Disc since we can't find the reusable disc in stores here in Toronto (stores only carry the disposables). Well as you can see, I have both the reusable and the disposable discs: I bought the disposable one first to see if liked it enough to get the reusable one. I love both and found the reusable disc slightly more comfortable than the disposable disc!

Flex is the first brand of menstrual discs I ever used and previously I had been using the Diva Cup for years. I have no idea why it took me THIS LONG to discover menstrual discs. I can honestly say, I will only use the Diva Cup if I'm swimming in the ocean (and I don't touch tampons by the way). Why won't I use the menstrual disc when swimming in the ocean? Okay ladies, well, if you're having fun snorkelling in the ocean for a couple of hours, you're probably gonna want to pee in the ocean (just not with any humans near you out of courtesy). And well, when you pee, the disc will self-empty and release blood and you don't want blood in the ocean (um, it could attrack a shark). So for anyone who swims in the ocean regularly or is heading on a tropical vacation during that time of the month, just keep this in mind as a small safety tip 😉

In terms of using the menstrual disc during intimacy, this thing is AMAZING! 😅 Your partner probably won't notice or feel the disc.

I honestly love the Flex menstrual disc and highly recommend it. And I did quite a bit of research prior to my purchase and found that Flex is the only reusable disc that does not have dye/colour on the disc which was important to me. Now, I was shocked when I saw the size of the disc for the first time: my partner was shocked too and we both wondered how it was going to fit in there 🤣 well, it fits. And it fits quite easily!! And the good news is that I don't feel it at all (unlike the diva cup which you can kind of feel). And compared to the diva cup, for any ladies who have experience with the diva cup, this menstrual disc is a breeze to remove: I often struggled to pull out the diva cup in comparison and I find the diva cup a lot messier since it does not self empty like this Flex disc.

Hope this review helps! ☺️

If you’re on the fence on this because of the price, I’d recommend giving it a try. I wasn’t sure on this because I’d tried the disposable version and experienced some leaking. My experience with this has been much better. The auto dump feature has been a game changer for my heavy periods and there’s less mess (as I only need to fully empty it once every 12 hours). I also like that this has no suction compared to the moon cup. Highly recommend!
Ergonomic chair: was easy to setup and very comfortable for work.
4.0 out of 5 stars After Day 2

I decided to switch to discs because I’ve never liked pads really and my IUD made my period very heavy so that I was using 4 tampons and 3 pads day time alone. From my experience so far;

Pros:
Comfortable to use, you really won’t feel it. And nothing beats having that place being well ventilated when you are menstruating. lol

- Easy way to empty the cup while it’s still inserted.

- Low infection compared to tampons

Cons:
- It is messsyyyy. Heavy period means my cup gets full every 4 hours, while I like the ease of emptying the cup, the fact that I always have to reset it after emptying means I always have to put my hands in my vaginal quite a number of times daily.

- Also, if you experience diarrhoea and flatulence during your period it can be tiring because anytime you do one of both your disc moves (this happens sometimes even while urinating) and will need to be adjust again, which is going into the vagina to adjust.

Conclusively I’ll still pick this over pad and tampons.
