Nearly the same functionality of an iPad but at a fraction of the price. Battery last very long. But don't be confused. This does not have the power of a laptop especially for games. Resource intensive games will not work great on this but casual online games will. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

If I could give this tank zero stars, I would. The biggest mistake or misstep, whatever you want to call it, was buying a Chromebook with only 4Gb of RAM. The Ryzen 3, whatever specs it has, is completely throttled by the lousy RAM. By the time you finish waiting for a page to load (if you have more than 3 tabs open), you'll be ready to go live in a nursing home. I don't know if 8 Gb of RAM would have mitigated this issue, but good God is this thing slow.

Don't buy it. There are far better options out there at this price point. There are only two positive things that can be said about this wheezing tank. The screen is nice, and it better be because about the only thing you'll be doing on this monstrosity is watching movies on Netflix or checking your email. Second, it really is built like a tank. Heavy and solid, so when you finally get tired of waiting for a tab to load and fling it across the room, it won't break, whether you want it to or not.

Those users giving this barely usable hunk of metal 5 stars can't be using it to actually get anything done. Too many 5 star reviews for this awful Chromebook to be believable.

Update: 3 tabs open and it takes nearly 15 seconds just to close a tab and another 10 seconds to open a new one. Powerwash barely helps. Using this thing feels like a punishment from God.

Really nothing to say that I dislike about the CBook. I've owned a number of them before. As I mentioned in the headline, the weight is heavier than I expected, but I don't carry it around all day. It does seem to "hang up" when I am on some sites, but that appears to be the site loading Adv. after Adv. while I am trying to read something. I am going to add an Ad-blocker to cut that delay back. It's a shame the advertisers are killing the golden goose(geese) by over-loading every page with more and more interruptions. The CBook is great for me.

I purchased this Asus Chromebook to replace my failing HP. I chose it because I have mostly had good service from other Asus products. The backlit keyboard was another reason for choosing it. It has a big screen with relatively light weight and fair battery life. This seemed to be a nice Chromebook with decent performance at first, but it quickly became apparent that its performance was abysmal. This seems largely due to the Ryzen 3250C processor and the 4GB of RAM. Opening multiple tabs, especially with a couple of "heavy" pages, would quickly overload the system. Scrolling through a downloaded PDF was painful. Gaming would likely be a joke. The screen looks good and the keyboard is good. The touchscreen is okay, but I don't really use it. I never use the flip feature. I replaced it with a similar Asus using the i3-1215U and 8GB RAM. That one performs like this one should have.

I've always been a Windows guy for PCs since Windows 3.0. Can you imagine that? And always Android since my first Motorola back in the day. This is my first dive into a Chromebook which I have been tempted to try for some time. I had been concerned about performance and the learning curve but a reason came up to give it a try.

I have two notebooks, one Dell and one HP, the later for remote working, the other for personal use, finance, volunteer work etc, etc. Also have a kindle fire, a Samsung Tab 4, two Paperwhites, and a Pixel 6. Rest of the family is on iPhone and Macs, not me.

Why would I need another device? Well I've started to pursue a side gig career as a freelance writer. So I wanted a device totally seperate from work and other life digital activities. I wanted a tool that was only for writing. I chose this device and am so happy. Beautiful design, fast, clear, great wide keyboard, which is important as I have big hands. The screen is great visually and good for touch, backlit keyboard for middle of the night work. So easy to setup, all my Google stuff came over easily.

All in all very happy with this device and I really like the Chrome OS experience, nice to get away from Windows for awhile.

Was looking for a chromebook with a touch screen and backlit keyboard and the ASUS has both. Needed to update the chrome settings to a newer version but after that it works well for my use. By buying it from amazon warehouse was able to stay within our budget. Don't do any gaming maybe for playing games that is the reason for the negative reviews about it being slow.

Welp this thing has finally pissed me off enough to review. The ratings are misleading save your money this thing is very slow an almost in capable of anything. And I'm not even a computer guy I just need the basics. Email and connection to the Internet and this p.o.s falls flat on its face. Good luck I tried to warn ya 🤷‍♂️
