Sounds great… when it worksPatrickIt sounds great, looks great, is easy to use and I really like it… except when it doesn’t work. Which isn’t often but when it is then it’s a party and my wife says “put on some nice music” and I suddenly my phone can’t find the speaker, the app can’t find the speaker, I forcekill the app, I need to login in but can’t remember my password and why the heck does a wireless speaker require a login? But then my wife is like “where is the music and can you help me carry this tray?” And then back to trying to reset my password, but then I am in and it still can’t find the speaker, so I uninstall the app, and reinsall the app but now my wife is like “where is the music? And we need the drinks out, and help me with this” but then back to the app and I still don’t understand why the app needs all these permissions and the app still can’t find the speaker which was just working a week ago. And the guests are at the door… and wife is unhappy. I give up and am just using a Bluetooth speaker2
DO NOT BUYJustinThese Sonos speakers are crap. The app is broken. It doesn't detect your speakers when you open the app, every time. Have to open the app 2 or 3 times to activate the speakers. Go to reddit Sonos board and see all the complaints. Avoid Sonos products!! 1
Unusable due to Sonos appBenjaminThe device is basically a $120 paperweight due to problems with the Sonos app.
Earlier this year Sonos released a new version of their app that is extremely unstable and has tons of network issues. If someone's system is already setup then they can maybe avoid using the app but that does no good for anyone buying a new speaker.
Last week, after waiting for hours with unhelpful Sonos tech support, I returned the speakers. I highly recommend you avoid these speakers, and anything with the Sonos label on them.1
120 dollar bricks P NeilThey updated the app a few kk this ago and now these won’t connect to anything. It just leaves me in a doom loop, telling me to sign in, and after I sign in telling me, I need to sign up and sign back in. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, I’ve updated the operating system on my phone, I’ve done everything that anyone suggested in any of the mini forms online, where everyone is having this problem, and they still just don’t work1
Sonos Ecosystem CharifBought two of these to act as surround speakers in my living room. They sound great and are an easy way to jump into the Sonos ecosystem.
Had some initial install issues because of recent Sonos app update. But not the speakers fault. Worked it all out and we’re up and running.

Sonos interface ruins this product!JimThe sound from these is excellent, provided the room they're in isn't too large and they aren't driven too hard (they do have good volume overall, though). The IKEA part of the product experience is good—price, mounting options, style, etc.—but the Sonos part of the experience is UTTER MISERY. These have significant network connectivity bugs and they require regular deleting and resetting in the garbage Sonos app. Audio is great, but even with solid network connections there is frequent skipping and lag. 1
Great audio and an excellent value.JamesThe simplest and most cost-effective means of creating whole-house audio that I was able to find.5
Sonos App is a Nightmare!WilliamThe updated Sonos 2 app is absolutely horrible as of this date. The Google App store gives it a 2.9 and even though the Apple Store gives it a 4.7—read the actual reviews! Most people complain they cannot connect to their speaker or the upgraded app has taken away the wonderful parts of the app and made it worse. Trying to connect using wireless WiFi has been impossible for me. The ONLY way I have been able to get this speaker to work is by connecting the Ethernet cable straight to my router. My spouse and I are both network specialists and we have exhausted everything that Sonos has stated in their knowledge base. Simply put... the Sonos app is absolutely horrible and it doesn't look like the company is listening to their customers. Outside of the Sonos app nonsense... the speaker itself is absolutely fantastic. I'm hoping someone with tech savvy skills can create a Ikea hack for this speaker and bypass the Sonos app altogether. 1
FANTASTIC SPEAKERJasonWorks amazingly with Sonos and sounds Perfect!5
Great for the price. Thomas HSonos sound for IKEA price. Have a pair on my bedside tables. Perfect. 5
Love these speakers JasonThese are amazing and work great with Sonos. Save the money they sound great!!!!5
Excellent speakersPeterIt’s a wireless Sonos speaker. That means it uses WiFi, not Bluetooth, and no line in. I find them to be very reliable and we have them in all the rooms of our house. We added the Sonos Connect to play records. 5
Fabulous! SabrinaLove our Simfonisk system. We’ve got them throughout our house and they pair perfectly with Sonos speakers. 5
Sound is okay, compatibility is quite limited JoaoYou cannot pair this speaker with other ikea speakers (the lamps, for instance) to get stereo sound. And the Sonos app is a pain to work around. 2
Mac Person? Do you like Setting up Every Time?!ThomasIf you are an Apple person and LOVE to set up your sound system every time you go to use it. Then this is the system for you! Experience the thrill of the system not being found… where is it?! Then rediscover your system over and over again like it is a NEW system every time! Re-live the experience of newness!!!1
Sounds Great When i WorkedKendraMy speaker stopped connecting and working. I’m so disappointed because when it worked it really sounded good. I also love the minimalist look of the speaker. I’ve had this thing for two years now and it is totally dead. Not happy at all.1
Set up should be much easier. Only made for Listening to music.LuisI am good at setting up my electronics but man this are hard to set up. Then once set up found out could not attach them to my TV in anyway. Also for a Sonos device they didn’t sound good.1
sound decent, usability horribleJerroldWhen they are working, the speakers are fine. Setting them up, using more than 1, or making a change is a horrible exercise in frustration. The software is terrible.1
