  • Meet the dueling card game you will take with you through the apocalypse.
  • Radlands is an intense dueling card game created by former Magic the Gathering External developer, Daniel Piechnick.
  • It is extremely elegant from both a component and game design perspective, consisting of a deck of text minimal cards, and a short rulebook.
  • But do not let the game's level of elegance fool you, as Radlands provides one of the highest strategic depth to complexity ratios Team Roxley has ever experienced.
  • With so much to explore, Radlands gives the experience of a huge expandable card game, in a form factor that your gameshelf can actually handle.

It's hard to find good, competitive two-player games and this is probably my favorite one that I've come across.

    Warning for those who don't like strategy-heavy games—this is a strategy-heavy game.

That being said, it isn't difficult or overwhelming, in my opinion.

Upon reading the rules, you may be a bit confused because it can seem like a lot is going on, but if you follow the recommendation about which "camps" to start with in the instructions and just start playing a game slowly, it will make sense pretty quickly.

Here are the things that have made this game one of my favorites:

    Super competitive (without going overboard)
infinitely playable (countless combinations of camps/cards drawn to keep every game unique)
    Easy to set up
Small in size/Easy to travel with
Creator is active in online forums to clarify certain card combinations and events (you don't ever see that)

Again, if you like strategy games, this one is a home run.

I know I just got this, but I've been playing it for over a week now with my friends and I absolutely love it. It took less than 20 minutes to learn, start to finish, and games are fast and fun. I played my friend's copy so much that I bought my own immediately, and I suggest you do the same.

I enjoyed this game for the first few plays, its fast, simple and pretty. Once we learned the game, we found the game became frustrating. There is too much rng in the card draw, which can make it impossible to do any of the core mechanics depending on what you get. Plus some cards are just way better than others, its true for the camps and the draw deck which makes it frustrating to lose and unsatisfying to win. This was an amazing game that skimped on the playtesting unfortunately.

The mechanics of this lane-battling game equate to the most fun I have ever had in a card/board game.

No matter what happens, it feels like you almost always have some move that you can make. Although there is some luck involved in your initial camp selection and what cards you end up drawing throughout the game, the ability to junk however many cards you want in order to receive the listed action opens up a lot of opportunities and gives you a lot of freedom in your turn.

Perfect for my partner and I to play by ourselves. Once you learn the game you can play it forever. Super fun and doesn’t get boring. We spend forever just looking at the art on the cards because it’s so cool.
