This occurs if you move the speaker to another outlet and then turn it on by using your smart phone to connect to the Newport Plug-in Speaker. If this happens, you will need to reset the connection.
A simple way to reconnect the speaker
To prevent this "no sound" issue from happening in the future, whenever you move the speaker to another outlet, make sure you turn it on using the power button on the top of the speaker.

I was hesitant to buy this speaker because I felt $70 was a little too steep for what you get. I’m now glad I got it.The fact that it plugs in ended up being very useful. It’s great that I don’t have to worry if it’s charged or not. I use it daily when getting ready for work in the mornings, in a well ventilated bathroom of course.For its size the sound quality is very good! I enjoy listening to it.All in all, I think $50 would be a more appropriate price. I think at $50 this speaker would sell like crazy. If it ever goes on sale I would buy another one. Still, it’s worth a 5 star review for sure.
