I recently decided to replace the stock cables that came with my SE 535s. I bought all three available cables from Shure to compare them. The clear winner. The RMCE BT2 is wireless which is great. But the sound is not quite the same. The sound personality or signature is similar to the wired option but as you might expect, the high end and low end of the dynamic range is less present. The overall sound is pleasing and balanced but the upper transients and the lower thump of the bass is quieted. Also the sensitivity of the drivers is decreased, At maximum volume, the sound level for loud critical listening is achieved. With the wired connection, you cant turn it up beyond 3/4 without it becoming painful. When walking around with the wireless set up the playback volume is more than sufficient. There is a nice clean presentation of the sound overall.Having both options is great, depending on the circumstance. The wireless option is excellent if I don’t want a cord in the way. But when you want maximum playback dynamics you can choose the wired solution.Yes, it’s luxurious to own both, but so is owning the se535s. :)Im extremely happy with the two options. I highly recommend them both.

This cable is not as thick, or as long, as the original mic-less cable that came with my shure headphones. It does work, and call quality is good - and doesn't feel low quality. But, it definitely does not feel as robust as the original cable. The extra foot or so of cable on the original was also nice, so I wish this one were longer.
Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2023

My goal in purchasing this cable was to modify my pair of Koss KPH40's to use MMCX connections so I could use a cable with a microphone / remote and 3.5mm jack. While there are a ton of cheaper MMCX cables out there, not all of them have microphones, or remotes, or specific compatibility with Mac and iOS devices. This seemed like the most reliable option.

I received the cable and promptly cut the "memory wire" out of the ear pieces, which was relatively easy as long as you take your time with a sharp blade. I then tested the cable with my Macbook and phone and the controls worked as expected. After modding my headphones, I now have the exact set up I was looking for.

There are some comments here about cable durability. While I've only used it for a few days, the cable does not strike me as particularly flimsy or anything like that. I'm sure there are beefier cables out there but I wasn't immediately discouraged by the quality like some reviewers indicated. Microphone quality is also very good. Recommended!

I am so glad that I found these as a replacement cable with a microphone. They work great as my original cable did not come with a mic. Now I can use them for calls, or for gaming.

Using these with Shure AONIC 215 TW2 earbuds. I have had this cable for a few months. Sound quality is still as good as the day I received them, and sounds about the same as when using the over-ear bluetooth attachment with the earbuds.

The big negative about this cable for me is that it has a weak attachment to the earbuds and quite easily detaches. Like even the slightest head or body movement or tug on the cable can detach it from the earbud. On multiple occasions this has led to the earbud detaching and falling onto the ground, which is both unsanitary and increases the likelihood of loss or damage to the earbud. I have definitely almost lost an earbud more than once, and was lucky to notice that the earbud fell and found where it fell. In contrast, the earbuds are very secure when attached to the bluetooth attachment. There is a noticeable and satisfying "click" when attaching them to the bluetooth attachment that seems not as strong when attaching to the wired cable. I hope Shure fixes this, because it makes this cable scary to use anywhere outside of the home where I'm more likely to actually break or lose the earbud if it falls off somewhere, and of course even in my home it is annoying when the earbud detaches from the cable and I have to stop what I'm doing to re-attach it.

The cable itself is good; firm, yet soft on the skin. There isn’t much to say for it other than my personal preference for an L connection rather than a straight one. However, the mechanism to secure the cable around your ear can be troublesome, as you need to make it really tight to fit snuggly. That, and the microphone is rather big (with good call quality to match), and this makes it somewhat of an annoyance at times. Overall, I’d say it is a good cable

It is very good idea to be able to swap the wires for the in-ear monitors and insert a microphone when you need it and to be able to eliminate it when you don't need it! I am so happy with this setup. I wish Sennheiser would make one of these for their IE series of headphones. The IE900, IE600, IE300, ETC could be more useful if they were compatible with the mmcx connectors that are standard on every other models that use them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bien meilleur que le BT2
