    I have had horrible luck with video monitors. I LOVE summer products and had a summer monitor with my first child. By the time came along to have our second they no longer made the camera so I needed to buy one that had two cameras. I’ve gone through 2 vtech, hello baby, and a WiFi one that was hacked. I saw summer released this one and I really didn’t want to spend 200+ dollars but for peace of mind it is worth it.Pros- incredibly easy to use, pretty self explanatory. Night vision is amazing, not as well at the 1080p WiFi camera that was hacked into but for a closed circuit baby monitor it’s one of the best I’ve seen. This was the selling point for me. It has an eco mode which I don’t mind. The monitor screen doesn’t stay on all the time but it does respond to sounds which you can see on the bar. I don’t have use for the movement box or the lullabies but they are a nice addition and for someone with a smaller baby is useful. The battery life is long and so far no issues. But I do know If there are any issues summer is extremely good with helping and sending a new unit if needed.Cons honestly so far I only have one. I wish the camera was more secure on the wall. All that is securing it is a screw. I put a 3m double sided sticky to just double secure it. Other monitors I’ve had has had something it goes into and screws in the wall. Or at least two screws.If there are any other issues that arise I’ll update. But so far so good and I’m very silly with it.

    This is my second time purchasing this camera. I used this one over 5 years ago with my first and wasn’t expecting to get pregnant again so had to re purchase. After extensive research with all the new products out- I came back to the old reliable. I love that this camera is not connected by WiFi but straight camera to monitor. The sleep boundary mode is a huge bonus along with the zoom, night mode / night light for better viewing, great battery life and no delay in video or sound. This product has given me huge peace of mind to be able to even see my baby breathing (chest moving) clearly whether at night or day naps. I will never not recommend this product.

    We’ve had this monitor for almost 2 years now and it’s been great other than some battery issues. We’ve gotten to a point where the battery life is less than 30min. Works fine when plugged in, but don’t want to have to lug the power cord around everywhere. We purchased this camera to replace a different model and have been very pleased. My biggest hesitation in buying it was complaints that WiFi would interrupt the service. We’ve not had that issue at all despite having 3 WiFi routers throughout our house. We have 2 cameras and it bounces back and forth every 8sec. Only complaint with sound is that it’s very difficult to hear 1 of our kids over their white noise machine despite his being placed farther from the camera than the one in the other kid’s room. We’ve simply taught our son what he needs to do to get our attention if needed when we’re sleeping. No problem hearing the other kid over his monitor.

    Have had this monitor now for a full year. We loved it when we first got it, picture and sound quality are great. Unfortunately the battery life is AWFUL. We have to keep it plugged in 24/7, if left unplugged it is dead within 30 minutes. My other issue with this setup is when it is plugged in, the monitor does not time out at any point so it will stay on the whole night if it senses movement. There is no brightness control so it will light up your whole room. I keep it face down while sleeping.

    Do NOT buy this. We added a second camera (an extra $100) for our second child and bought another battery straight from Summer Infant ($30). I could live with it not holding a charge, not an issue, just leave it plugged in but now port where you plug into the monitor no longer works and it won’t charge!!! Do yourself a huge favor and DO NOT buy this. It is a huge waste of money.

    Purchased this as a replacement for a previous Summer Infant baby monitor that we've had since 2013. The monitor has a large screen with easily accessible and intuitive buttons. I was also impressed at the panning ability, both up and down and side to side, as it has significant range and we can see the room in its entirety if need be. We also love the temperature display so we can make sure his room is cool enough! I will be purchasing a second camera to add to the monitor for our newborn coming this fall. Love this monitor!

    I absolutely LOVE this monitor, I just purchased it to replace the old Levana monitor that I had, whichI kept having to send back for replacements (over 5 times in the last year and a half), so I finally gave in and decided to purchase another monitor all together. My overall impression of this monitor is its fantastic! The picture quality and sound are great and I still cant get over how clear the picture is, especially in the dark when it's using the night vision (there is no pixilation and it's crystal clear). I also haven't experienced any lag time with it at all. My other monitor doesn't even come close to comparing to this one. This monitor is super easy to use, the camera was easy to install, there are no bright lights that are distracting to my daughter (on the actual camera) when the lights are off. I like the 2 way talk function, which I had with my other monitor and I tend to use quite a bit. I like that you can set a boundary and will notify you if your child crosses it.

    The ONLY reason I am giving this monitor 4 stars is because the screen doesn't stay on unless it's plugged in. If it's not on the charger it goes into power save mode and the screen goes black and you have to keep turning it back on if you want to see the room. It does have voice activation, so when it's in the power save mode, that will turn the monitor screen back on if there is any kind of noise that it detects. But for me, I prefer to have the screen on fully, at least until my daughter falls asleep because some times she has a hard time sleeping but doesn't always make a lot of noise. I did call over to the manufacturer and they said as of now there is no option to turn off the power save mode and keep the screen on when it's not plugged in.

    So the only thing I would say is that if being able to have the monitor on all the time is important to you, you may want to reconsider getting this one. Otherwise, this monitor is AMAZING and I would highly recommend it!

    I originally had the Philips Avent SCD630 which I loved but I dropped it too many times and it eventually stopped working. So I got one called Dragon Touch off Amazon. It had great reviews and was a fair price but sadly it was junk made in China (the reason it has good reviews is because they will give you a free extra camera if you give them 5 stars). I ended up getting this one on sale on Prime Day and I swear it’s the best one I’ve ever used!! It is great picture quality, clear sound quality. It has the option to add up to 4 cameras. I have no complaints about this camera at all. It is slightly pricy but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend!!!

    I don’t normally do reviews but felt it was necessary due to my disappointment in this product and in summer infants customer service. This product was great when it worked. The cameras are functional but the handheld monitor piece is terrible. The battery died after less than a year so it has to be plugged in all the time. And then at 14 months it stopped working altogether. I contacted summer infant customer support to get a replacement. I was happy to pay for the new handheld piece since the cameras are fully functional. They literally could do nothing for me because I was 2 months past the warranty period. Because this model is discontinued, they couldn’t “sell” me the monitor component because they were just available for warranty. They also couldn’t replace or offer a discount on a new product. I paid $315 for this monitor to then have to replace just over a year later. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing this monitor.
