Customers are mixed about the quality of the robotic vacuum cleaner. Some mention it does a good job of vacuuming on hard floors in the mid or max settings, and is helpful for small spot cleaning small areas. It keeps floors cleaner and tends to charge better if you keep it on a schedule. However, others say that it quit working after two months, is unusable, and the mop portion quit working.

My home has predominantly hard floors. Honestly, it's easy to run my cordless vacuum over the floors quickly to get the majority of the dog hair and debris. Mopping takes MUCH longer. This machine gets my tile floors as clean as if I mopped them myself. It doesn't get trapped often. It doesn't bump into things very hard. It doesn't need help finding it's way to the home base.
So, I will typically do a quick vac, then run this on wet mode and it's vacuum will catch what little "dry" dirt is left and then thoroughly mop the floors too. And the water tank is big enough to clean a LARGE area. I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing help keeping hard floors clean.
It basically does the job, is a little help to me when I’m busy cleaning and doing laundry or other things, BUT I still have to babysit it, so it’s not entirely convenient. Why? Read on.
Open floor plan: I either have to place obstacles in doorways or across room-wide spaces to keep it in an area, or stay with it and block it personally. That’s a hassle and something I have to figure out each time, based on what objects I have on hand at that moment.
For example, I usually place boxes of soda pop or cases of water bottles because they are very well weighted and longer than other things; I’ve considered 2x4’s (lumber) for wider openings but have yet to really try that. It seems like it could be easier to have the same objects available all the time and not need to figure it out differently, and those would generally be lighter than cases of 36 bottles of water. But, would they stay in place and not be pushed by the robot... it’s a little iffy depending on the spaces and the placement options. I’ve also moved a recliner, a heavy basket of books/magazines, totes, and coolers to create obstacles for boundaries.
The robot does a good job of vacuuming on hard floors in the mid or max settings. That’s my main objective since I have well over 200 square feet of white tile (not my choice).
I just don’t run this robot as much as I would if it had electronic boundaries or a really good means of staying within a particular space.
Scheduling via the app worked well except:
be very sure there are no cords (or other problem objects) lying on or dragging on the floor anywhere that the robot will actually get to. It can get hung up on those as well as on some odd low items, like the base of my tv-tray stand. I still have some TV trays which sit in a stand on a laminate floor and the robot got hung up on it. I believe part of the stand is low, like a threshold that transitions from low to higher flooring (like an inch or so?), which the robot has climbed, which is also why I have to create boundaries with bigger objects. Anyway, it was a noisy problem, though the stand issue was easy to clear up. Cords for phone chargers could be more problematic, depending how much of the cords get caught up in the brushes and/or wheel. My incident wasn’t too bad, but it caught in the wheel space and that wasn’t as easy to get out.
So I won’t run the robot at night nor when I’m away from home because it’s too easy to forget to check that the floor is clear of problematic objects. That issue makes scheduling for automated cleaning not my thing. Maybe you can still use that feature in your home though.
Ok so what about the mopping feature. Fair job I suppose. I still find it helpful, but running my upright steam mop IS faster. Since I pick up the rugs and section off the floor area that will be vacuumed and mopped, and remove any obstacles, I don’t have any real problematic mishaps here. I do tend to think afterwards that my floor probably isn’t as sanitary as with my steam mop, but then for perspective, it’s pretty much as good as any regular mop would’ve done and I didn’t have to strain my back or shoulders (unless you count lifting those boxes and cases, haha), and I didn’t run a bunch of water in a bucket or in the sink (less water wasted by comparison).
I’d say it’s best to sweep the floor, or to let the robot do the vacuuming before running the dual function vac & mop on this, particularly of there’s significant dust, lint or pet hair. No pet hair here, but a little human hair. Basically, the robot turns whenever it runs into an object, and what isn’t swept up before that ends up in the wet mop pads or may get left on the floor, depending on how dirty the floor is and how dirty the mop pads are at any given point I suppose.
So yes, I’m keeping it, even though I think it could be a better product for the money spent, thankfully not full price. It is helpful for small spot cleaning small areas (like a 3x5’ area give or take a bit, guesstimating), and I can work with creating boundaries for it so that I can continue cleaning other things or doing laundry, etc while the vacuuming or mopping is done for me. It’s still a little less work for me than the standard options despite having to move objects around. If I had paid full price, I would feel heavily disappointed. If I had it to do over, it might be worth waiting for a better product that has the vacuum and mop features, but with boundary setting options. But I still find it useful, so it stays.
Original review: I liked it - when it worked. I got this one over the roomba version because of the spinning washable pads vs some of the flat ones, as well as vacuuming debris. While no current robot will work as well as manual scrubbing, it was great for the light mop ups to keep things clean. But - in about 6 months it has died twice, same symptoms. First time it charged up, but when starting, gave battery dead indicator, push button again, then again and it would run - but then eventually would not run at all. Called, customer support walked me through trying without water/scrubber cartridge and it then ran - so they sent a replacement of that cartridge. It worked a few times, but then same problem. This time chatted with customer service, and while it's behaving exactly the same (runs without cartridge), they said it was the front ball assembly having debris and had me remove that. Well it didn't, and still problem, but this time have to bring it into an authorized service center. :-( They don't repair robots, but apparently confirm problem then replacement is issued - wasting a ton of my time for no value add and wait 6 weeks or so for delivery of new. If the app usage data is correct, just 44 uses, most were back when it was new and I was seeing how well it cleaned. BTW - while not the same, my dry vac roomba is still going strong after 8 years (with simple battery replacement), and never had to call for help with service.
