Satisfied.
I recently built some speakers that sounded better than my Klipsch RPM-600 II's, so I sold the Klipsch mainly because I can't stand fake vinyl wood grain. I saw these by accident when planning a system for my small office. I was very impressed with these. Even the bass is very good . These also sound better than the Klipsch which are highly rated. I'm a huge Klipsch fan, but these are just better all around, and they have real look wood veneer, not fake cheap vinyl. Get them before the price goes up. I would give 5 stars if they were real wood veneer. The wood grain pattern on mine are identical to each other, and idendical to these pictured here. They still look better than the cheap Klipsch vinyl veneer.

This is not like a monitor, meaning, it will not make a terrible recording, sound like a terrible recording. I used it to play "In Rock" album by Deep Purple Mk.2, and Jesus Christ, I have never heard that terribly produced album with such clarity and detail. These are ROCK AND ROLL speakers if I've ever heard one! It destroys anything from Rock, Metal, Jazz, Blues, it is simply phenomenal with music that has instruments and very dynamic sounds being produced.

Now for a review of the drivers: It is a standard two-way driver, a one inch tweeter and a 6 inch woofer, tweeter is aluminum, woofer is paper, which is a nice bonus, gives it great bass and fuller sound, top to bottom. The treble is very slightly recessed and lacks the resolution of a true monitor, but if you are looking for a "fun" desktop bookshelf or a nice stereo bookshelf, you won't be able to tell the difference... Actually, you would probably prefer it, like I do. I don't need the treble shouting at me and piercing me ears, instead, this speakers treble is warm and smooth and still had good resolution, its still full HD, maybe not 4k UHD like a monitor, but most people don't need that. The mids, oh boy the mids, they are pretty much perfection for this price range, you won't find much better for the price, even up to 1000, unless you find a monitor that is mid forward. These speakers are very slightly mid-forward, this really helps bring clarity, imaging and soundstage to the midrange and sound reproduction of instruments. The bass is incredible, due to the paper woofer, you will get very good low end, and clean low-mids. I just love this speaker and I think the only upgrade to it for a reasonable price is the Buchardt S300. But there is one major downside to it... Although it has great French engineering, it is very unreliable build quality due to China. One of the corners on mines, looks like it is not attached very well, exposing the wood cabinet very slightly. It's not a deal breaker, but for $550, they could have done way better. I would have paid $100 extra if it came in a nice and sturdy black gloss, which is much better material and more reliable. I may get the S300 one day, but I have a very tiny room and even now I don't get the full experience from the BR03.

I am extremely impressed with these speakers. I've been an audiophile for over 50 years and yes, my hearing is still very good. At this price point these speakers are absolutely awesome. They are large sounding with enough bass to satisfy. Fairly forward but not too much. Nice wide soundstage with very decent depth. Clear and ample high frequency response but not etched or grainy. Mids are pretty accurate and realistic( especially on vocals. Very lively and engaging. I swapped out my MBL 323s for them, for now ( I own many pairs of speakers). They're sitting on Sound Anchor monitor stands. Driving them with a modified Dynaco ST 70, thru a NAD 1300 pre with either a Thorens TD 125 (SME 3009 arm) or Cambridge /Schiit CD combo and they do the system justice. If you're on the fence, jump off and join the BRO3 Brotherhood.

I purchased these speakers 5-6 months ago. I was a little leary purchasing speakers for two reasons. First and foremost, I could not audition them. Secondly, shipping, I have seen some nightmare packages come through UPS, FedEx, USPS, and Amazon Prime.

I'll start with the shipping. The speakers arrived when promised and the box was almost without any marks so I was very happy before I opened the box. Triangle takes EXTREME care with its packaging. I think it would take a catostrophic incident to damage the speakers the way Triangle packs them in the box. I truly couldn't be happier with how they were received.

As for buying speakers unheard, well, with Covid I just planned on doing as much research as I could and then get ready to receive and return a few sets of speakers. I started with setting a budget of $500.00 for a bookshelf speaker. I wanted something that could fill a modest-sized room with sound, yet not dominate the room visually in size. After doing some research I felt I could find some fairly good speakers at that price. This was a number I was more than comfortable with, and I was ready to go up as high as $1000 if I found something that really blew me away. I started reading about bookshelf speakers and was resolved to the fact that I was most likely going to have to add a sub since just about every review of speakers in this price range was underwhelmed by the bass produced by bookshelf speakers. So now my budget was $750-1000 for sure.

I dove into the search reading reviews from at least 50 different publications. I started forming a short list that included Bowers & Wilkins 607 S2 Anniversary Edition, DALI - Oberon 3, Focal Chora 806, ELAC Uni-Fi 2.0 UB52, and KEF Q350. Then I came across a review of the Triangle Borea BR03. The reviewer was so passionate about these speakers and spent so much time detailing the sound that they produced. It really struck a chord with me. The size of the sound stage they produced. The clarity. The detail in the music. Base reproduction that eliminated the need for a sub. I looked for more reviews and found several more that echoed the first. Each author was mesmerized by these unassuming bookshelf speakers. I was convinced to give them a try. I pulled the trigger on a pair in white and looked forward to the day of them arriving.

I have had them hooked up to a NAD T770 receiver for 4 months, and recently hooked them up to a Pioneer SA-7800 II and a Topping E30. The NAD produces a modestly rated 70 watts per channel and the SA-7800 65 wpc. These speakers sounded wonderful right out of the box, but have really opened up with time. The speakers are exactly as described by the reviewers. They have impressed me with the sound. I am not a writer. I cannot begin to detail what my ears tell me. All I can say is these speakers are amazing.

I want to talk about fit and finish. For under $600 I wasn't expecting to be so impressed with how well built and braced the speakers are. They are rock solid. The finish is beautiful. They are as pleasing to the eye as they are the ear.

To finish, I want to say that no, I did not compare them to anything else. I bought them and fell in love with them. I have no desire to hear anything else. I got it right on the first try. Blown away and very happy about it.

I was worried when I first got these that I would need a subwoofer, but with proper placement you don't need a thing!

Just hook these bad boys up to your amplifier, sit in the middle of them and enjoy! Incredible sound staging for these size speakers, great detail and not lacking anywhere that I can find!

They also look fantastic without the grilles on! Well worth your money if you want something sleek looking and with a fantastic audio quality. Tested on multiple amps and all ranges of volumes, they have yet to fail me in any way. If you're unsure, try them out. Return them if you don't like them, but I'm sure you wont!

Whether or not you believe burn in ( I don't ) I found that with multiple listening sessions on these guys gave my ears plenty of time to adjust to the treble forward sound. These are extremely detailed and work well with all types of music, from classic to modern rap, these handle it all with ease all while looking great!

I don’t know if I qualify to review this product as I’m very new to the audio world. I did however watch a lot of YT video reviews and the vast majority were favorable. So far I’m happy with the sound and they are night and day difference from the previously enjoyed speakers I was using. I’d buy them again if I did it all over again.
