This product is so well made. The pieces are smooth and there are no rough spots to cause splintering. The marbles are weighted well and run the track (that you create) very well without pausing or getting stuck. Like the box says on the outside.... "no instructions needed", because you use your own creativity. (And it takes some good concentration to build a track that operates efficiently.) We use it when our 5 yr old God son comes over (he still needs help to create something that works, but that givesw us something to do together.) Love it!
