Not as good as was before. Not worth the money.
I have an older version, and bought it again after 5 years (because I used for fix a toy and I damaged the angle os the scissors. But as seen in pictures, the new one is bolder and not as delicate as the older. This means it’s harder to get inside small nails. The original was perfect, so sad I ruined. If you’re buying based on the previous version, don’t.

As a new mom I was really worried about clipping the nails, but when the wee one started scratching her face I had to face my fear. When she sleeps we snip really long nails (be super careful to not cute too short near skin as the nails seem to take awhile to separate from the skin.) We then use a baby nail file that we purchased at a local store. We also were gifted an electric baby nail file. My husband loves it, while I am not as adept with this file. We are surprised at how often we need to clip the little ones nails, but we are happy to report there have been no cuts or blood in the process (gross, but that is exactly what we were worried about). Great product.

Trimming nails is one of those activities I do not look forward to; I have never had great experiences using clippers and I had never tried nail scissors prior to using these. These scissors work beautifully and make trimming my newborn's nails very easy and safe. The quality is good, I appreciate the blade cover, and I enjoy the playful design of the product. The scissors are well shaped to get a good angle and achieve a close trim, which is important with how fast a baby's nails grow and how much and how quickly a very young baby can scratch its face. I would definitely recommend theses, give these as gifts, etc.

This is my second pair of these scissors. I purchased my first pair more than FOUR YEARS AGO for my daughter who is 4 years old. My second pair was needed for my newborn son. We have used these scissors on my 4 year old, and we still use the regularly for her, and now I’m starting over by using them for my son.

I find these infinitely better than standard nail clippers, or even filing the newborn nails. The scissors give you far better control, and because the are curved, I find that there are less jagged edges left on the nails. The only negative would be that this product is more expensive than alternatives - but for me, the return on investment makes buying these scissors totally worth it.

But after only a few months (using them about once a week), I found that the clippers (newborn & infant pair) were already getting dull. These are the best little nail scissors. Even for lefties! I was terrified to use the normal trimmers that come with the baby kits, and no wonder after I nicked my baby’s finger. There’s are so much safer. You can’t cut their skin but you can cut the nails short! Definitely a baby essential!
