About this item

  • ✅ A SIMPLE, ACCURATE AND LOW-COST WAY to screen your water for the presence of potentially harmful contaminants.
  • ✅ MADE IN THE USA IN LINE WITH OFFICIAL EPA LIMITS - Compare your results with EPA-approved guidelines for drinking water quality. Don't rely on Chinese-made "bulk" strip kits, these are often merely wastewater tests with unapproved and unsafe Lead, Iron, and Copper readings.
  • ✅ COMPREHENSIVE TESTING FOR PEACE OF MIND - Not only does this water hardness test kit detect even the smallest amounts of Lead and Copper, it also tests for Bacteria and other crucial water quality parameters. Having unbalanced levels of Chlorine, Hardness, pH, Alkalinity, Nitrate or Nitrite can indicate serious issues.
  • ✅ NO SCIENCE DEGREE AND NO MAILING REQUIRED - This home water tester kit is simple enough for anyone to use with zero expertise or equipment. Get your results quickly and easily - whether it’s from a tap, well, municipal, or spring. Just follow the included step-by-step instructions.
  • ✅ HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS SAVED ON LAB TESTS - Let’s be honest, most of us don’t test every 6 months like recommended. Testing separately for every element at a laboratory would cost stupid amounts of money. This kit makes it possible to find out what’s in your water without breaking the bank.

Seems accurate but the bacteria test doesn't work
It said my tap water has no lead, no copper, no nitrates, no nitrites, has pH of 7-8, and has super high hardness and alkalinity. I have no reason to doubt it. I used the second “3-way” stick to measure water that went through my fridge water filter, and it said the pH went down to ~6 (a little hard to read for the Orange-ish green range) and hardness went down to maybe 100 ppm. The hardness reading makes sense since the water tastes different, but a pH of 6 seems abnormal for drinking water. It makes me doubt the test a little, but I don’t really know. I haven’t done independent research, but according to the instructions, the ranges on all the measurements have decent resolution and tell me accurately whether they are low, high, acceptable, or unacceptable. (Obviously the lead is only pass/fail for 15ppb.)Update: I added pictures of the coliform bacteria test. I accidentally waited 60 hours instead of the 48 the instructions said. I would still expect accurate results after 60 hours, though, but that's not what I got. It's supposed to be purple for clean and yellow for positive for bacteria. I highly doubt our city water has bacteria in it, but the orange color seems closer to yellow than purple. It definitely doesn't match the bright yellow shown in the instructions, though. I would say totally inconclusive. So now I'm supposed to pay for some expensive water test? I thought it was interesting that when I poured the solution into the toilet it turned very purple. Unfortunately, the instructions didn't tell me what color it should be if I pour it in the toilet.Deducting 1 star because I couldn't figure out the results of the bacteria test and 1 star because it seems a little expensive for what you get. But if it was cheaper I’d probably trust the results less.

The pack comes with several tests to run on water as well as a small pamphlet with instructions and charts to compare results against. The Coliform test has its instructions and results printed on the bottle the culture (P/A broth of some sort I assume) comes in.

The instructions were easy to follow and given the timing required for each test, one could run through each in one sitting (save for the coliform that takes a couple days to finish).

In my particular case, the findings were inconclusive (negative coliform, good ranges for copper, nitrite/nitrate, and all of the 4-in-1 readings). My tap water seems fine to drink but my refrigerator (even after replacing the filter) makes me sick if i drink it or use the ice. My search continues!

Oh, the company sends you follow-up e-mails about the product (when it ships, after you get it, etc). This is either heartwarming and endearing or sort of creepy. I haven't decided yet. Good tests, though, this is a solid buy.

I had mixed results on one of the tests, I took a picture of the test strip and then sent it to the manufacturer for assistance on, and got an immediate response to, which was nice.
All in all good experience, and I did the testing, not some salesman trying to sell me a whole house water filter and softener.

We'll first, this is a good kit. simple tests to check a group of important things that could be in the water. The instructions were fairly simple, although you may need to read several times. came in a nice box with all the testing equiptment. The test take very little time with the exception of the coliform test with takes 48 hrs. if I have any issue with this product, it would be the lead testing strips have 2 lines that seem to be hard to see. you have to compare the 2 lines to see if they are positive or negative, this could be little tricky to see the differences between the line. all other test have a color code that are easily seen.

Wonderful customer service at the beginning and even after tests received. The tests worked great and were super simple. I’ve been having more and more health issues no one can figure out and the tests showed moderate copper, chlorine a small amounts of nitrites that for some people would be okay but for me could be what’s keeping me sick.

It would be great/beneficial (?) if you guys had recommended filters for or even sold:

    Shower
    Bathroom faucets
    Tub faucets
    Whole hour or apartments

Easy to use and follow instructions. Whether it is accurate -- I'm not sure. My tap water came back negative for all heavy metals. I could only know the accuracy if I compared it to an official lab sample.
