    Like any cat owner, toys are always a hit or miss kind of deal. I first bought this plush toy because of the built-in bird sound, and my cat absolutely adores it! This has become his favorite toy (and I really hope it never gets discontinued). The fabric is synthetic but doesn't feel cheap (and it is quite soft, even after several washes). The sound box is activated by squeezing the toy, and it reproduces the exact sound of the bird it is modelled after. The volume is a bit loud (think about your pet finding his toy at 2 in the morning) and the sound box is not waterproof, so I had to say goodbye to it after it took a few trips to the water bowl. However, it is very easy to replace or remove, by de-stitching the toy under the belly area and re-stitching it. Extremely durable, I have bought two of them and still use them after 7 years.
