This was my first time trying molded earplugs. They were easy to mold and I took a couple tries to get the fit I wanted.

They turned the volume down nicely and fit great. I could still hear lyrics and instruments at my concert, it didn't feel warped or distorted.

After discovering that the triple flange Eargasm plugs hurt my ears after a couple hours, I gave these a shot.

I love the custom mold. Follow the directions and they come out pretty good without too much trouble. However, I found the noise filters lacking. Not enough noise reduction and the filters let too much bass through for me (motorcycle riding with loud pipes.) Additionally, the same rubber style triple flange also bothered my ears after 1-2 hours.

Fortunately for these there is a simple fix. Swap out the plugs with memory foam buds (ones that fit 5-6mm post) and comfort issue solved!

But there was still the issue of the filters. I tried swapping the eargasm filters in but they were way to big. So I took a shot and ordered the Eargasm "smaller" filters and lo and behold if they weren't almost an exact match in size and shape to these! Swapped out the filters in seconds and now I have both noise reduction, frequency response, and comfort I was looking for!

I can hear my helmet speakers and traffic around me without going deaf from wind and exhaust. Took a few tweaks, but these solved my problem!

I have tried multiple times, read the instructions a couple times, tried all of the tips, and nothing works. The main problem being the tips extend very far into the ear canal. This means you can’t just start pushing on the back and sides of the mold as hard as possible like you would a similar house project. This means you don’t get a good fit. I love ear plugs, I’ve worn them since I was a teenager (I was that guy), but these really make zero sense. Glad they work for others, but I have no idea how, and a plug shouldn’t be this mysterious. I’ll keep using my Bose noise cancelling buds (I love them for concerts).

I play saxophone (front row seat) in a 17 piece jazz band (trumpets and trombones right behind me). One venue in which we play is a long, narrow room with low ceiling and glass wall behind the band. Acoustically awful. The other ear protectors I had were nearly useless for cutting the volume. I bought these with the instruction they could be molded to the ear and really seal out sound, so the only sound coming through would be titrated through the filter in the middle of the protector.

I was skeptical, but should not have been. Once I followed the instructions and fitted them to my earlobe/canal, they were comfortable and really did the job of noise reduction. I came home from my first gig with them and didn’t have ringing in my ears like I had with the other plugs. They are excellent and I would definitely recommend them to other musicians.

The molding process was easy. I saw many reviews about the ear pieces being too hot to mold in your ears. If you follow the directions, and wait about 30 seconds, they’ll be cool enough to mold in your ear, and not burn.

I bought these because I fly a lot, and wanted something to filter out the jet noise a bit but still be able to hear and talk with my coworkers. I’m able to do so, but I can’t have these in longer than an hour because they start to hurt. Therefore, not doing me any good when I’m flying for multiple hours at a time. I got the 31db version as well, but I’ll be returning those since I haven’t shaped them yet. These will become my backup ear plugs, and will likely continue to use the Surefire ear plugs since I know those are comfortable and also do the trick. I just wanted something that could be custom molded, but I’ll just go back to what I know.

The idea of a custom molded ear plug was very light intriguing to me so I thought despite the $40 price tag it was worth a shot. Directions were easy enough to follow although it took a couple rounds of heating them to get them just right. The plug that entered the ear canal was small and slightly uncomfortable. When testing them with loud live music they did not cut enough of the sound to protect my ears. There was a almost unrecognizable difference between with and without them. My ears hurt after only a few mins of wearing them from sound exposure. These were supposed to be the high fidelity plugs for this purpose. Luckily Amazon allowed the return and I was able to buy two pairs of etymotics for the same price, which work wonderfully. Would not recommend this product, all hype and does not deliver

Tried these out for the first time on a tour in January.
They held up great and absolutely did their job!
If you take your time and follow the instructions on the video with the molding process everything will be just fine. Don’t settle for the first mold/seal. My left ear molded beautiful but had to remold my right ear. But just put it right back in the hot water and it molded beautifully the second time.
*The key is to take your time*
I can’t stress that enough.
As for comfort they are okay.
They fit way back in your ear canal and the rubber seems to be a little dry. They do take some getting used to put it’s not a deal breaker.
The big thing for me is that they stay in the entire show and don’t break their seal or come out. I’m part of a very high energy show with lots of movement, jumping and singing and they stay in the entire time and don’t lose their seal like all other plugs I’ve tried of this type.
They also do a great job of noise reduction with no ringing in my ears after a performance.
Definitely a great buy and would purchase again.

Try as I did, I just could not get on with these. The moulding turn to hard plastic once set and just felt uncomfortable. Maybe if the moulding remained a little springy or pliable it'd have been different, but a lump of hard plastic in my ear, no thanks. Waste of money and threw them in the bin.
