I have a bunch of canister vacuums I've picked up over the years and needed to thin the flock. I bought this gauge to figure out which are the most powerful in terms of suction. To see how accurate it was, I tested a Festool CT26 dust extractor that is rated at 96 inches of water. The gauge showed 98 which is only about a 2% error. The gauge wasn't cheap, but is exactly what I wanted and is very accurate.
I have bought into of these for $100 each. We're doing a testing to see if to vacuum shafts were sucking the same pressure. They are sucking the same pressure but unfortunately these gauges are a couple of pounds off of each other. We switched them around and realized that they are sucking the same. But the gauges do not measure the same and that is extremely annoying.
