It involves using plastisol, which is an organic vapor. & I can say while wearing these you can smell nothing but clean air!The masks are comfortable & fit perfectly.I bought 2 if them, one small and one large.Just to let you know the small one is very small I have quite a small kid-ish head and it fits me perfectly!But make sure you look at the dimensions before buying.The quick release is so convenient when you need a drink of water and then snap them back on when your ready to go.Overall very comfortable & really well made, it is a bit pricy for these & the cartridges but honestly to keep you safe it is well worth it!My only minor complaint I would have to give is I wish there was a catch to hold to excess strap that hangs when you adjust it to your face.Other than that I recommend this product!

Usually, it's hard to find masks for smaller faces, but this one fits quite well. It is comfortable to wear for long periods of time, well ventilated and also easy to clean. Overall a very good mask and works great for my uses.
To note, as many goggles are also not often suited for small faces, you might run into a snag fitting goggles with a band around it, but not glasses styled goggles, depending. It takes a little shifting but I wear the elastic band goggles just fine with this mask.

I work with this, ear protection and glasses.
There’s an order of assembly when putting this much crap on your head. So the quick latch feature is clutch.

Silicone is anti microbial and not irritating to sensitive skin but skin will chap with prolonged wear. I’d love to see a way to expel moisture buildup.
I have the same ones in medium, but theyre really big. They work great but it’s hard to pair with glasses.
The head strap broke after about two years.

This is our first respirator mask so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I like it so far. I’m an adult woman and I have a 10 year old daughter, we each have one and wear it for up to a couple hours at a time. Fits and seals on both of our faces well. Comfort level for her is adaptable. She almost immediately gets irritation on the top of her nose (area almost between her eyes) from pressure, but easily relieves it by stuffing some cotton or soft paper towels in there. She has a pretty small face so that might be why. Mine also starts to bother me in the same place but it takes a couple hours and it has never been anything but minor. I find it pretty comfortable for up to about 3 hours at a time. It’s very lightweight and secures well so we don’t have any issues with gaps or slippage. The mask definitely blocks out fumes, smells and small particles really well. I work with epoxy and I’ve resin and sanding glass and it has been a game changer for all. I definitely recommend.

I deal with harsh chemicals on a daily basis and was looking for a half face mask. I usually use a full face 3m respirator but here in the Texas heat the full face respirator was causing me to sweat alot and was fogging up. I purchased this unit and have used it for a few months now. The comfort level is great even if worn for multiple hours. The straps adjust with ease and I have never had is loosen without adjusting it. If you are going to be in an small enclosed area using harsh chemicals you may want to consider getting a full face model instead. I use a Polyester resin and Acetone for work. This mask does great when using the correct cartridges and when in a semi open area. I have found when located is a smaller room with little ventilation my eyes will tear up and nose will run even though I cant smell the vapors. That is not a mask issue but rather an instance when I should use my full face respirator. My only complaint abut this mask is the frequency that I have to change my filters. When wearing my full face mask I can get 3 weeks usage out of the cartridges. Using this mask I get about two weeks. The difference is because of how much are you take into each mask. If you are doing home projects this is a great mask. If you use a mask for 20+ hours a week then you may want to consider a full faced mask. It all depends on your environment, use and circumstances. This mask will cost we about $100 a year more in cartridges per year over the full face but the difference in comfort in the elements make it a no brainer to me!
