Light Weight:
• Yeah, its does feel lightweight—haven’t dropped it yet and do wonder how it would handle a spill form countertop
• Some may not like how compact it is—no problem for me and it’s easy to stow (guess that makes it “Heavy Weight”—hey, I’m trying to come up with a few down-sides to this thing!
• Really, no actual negatives for me…sigh
Some have reported that scale readout bounces around a bit, especially when adding or removing stuff being weighted. I’ve had no such issues. Response is immediate and as expected. It’s accuracy is dead-on—I have various gram weights for testing scale accuracy. The readout is great—very easy to see during day or at night. Scale times out at a bit over 2min if left alone, so plenty of time to grab more of what your weighing.
I looked at a lot of different scales and saw some I like the look of better. But really, who cares; this is a scale, not counter decoration! It’s not like I put the damn thing on a doily when weighing portions.
Highly recommended, if you hadn't surmised by now…
UPDATE:
About 2.5 years later and I still haven't had to change batteries and the scale is performing perfectly! So, wow. I use scale twice a day, everyday, so I'm about as impressed as I can be!!!

Love this scale!
Set it to grams for weighing baking ingredients for bread, cookies. Set to pounds:ounces for weighing shipping packages that contain those baked cookies. Easy to read. Seems fast, accurate, precise and repeatable. As a quick and dirty test - I tared a shotglass to zero, then added one ounce of water - and checked the weight. Added a drop of water more. The results made perfect sense given that a shot glass is not a scientific Erlenmeyer flask but rather, a vessel for making margaritas.

Downgrading my 5-star review to 4 stars after six weeks of daily use. The "current units" are shown on the righthand side of the displace, next to the power/tare button. The change-units button is on the left. After six weeks of daily use, I still accidentally hit the power button about 30% of the time, when I need to change units, which is almost every time (some of my regular diet foods are measured in oz, others in gm). It is very natural to hit the button next to the item you're trying to change, and this is of course how all my previous scales worked.
It's a shame because they could have gotten it right when they designed the scale, without any chip, display, or component changes, simply by swapping the positions of the power/tare and change-units buttons in the printed-circuit board and the silkscreen for the printing on the case.
My original review.
Tactile feedback from buttons, fast on/off/tare, measurements are repeatable and accurate. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the required 3 AAA batteries were included. Five-year warranty and proactive message from seller encouraging buyer to contact them for support if needed were pluses.
In response to other reviews, I had no problem placing a large plate (10-1/2" dia.) slightly off center and seeing the display from above (two pics). Display is also visible off-angle (up to about 45 deg., bowl pic). For a larger item (16-1/2W" x 12-1/2"D tray in pic) you can also do the trick of raising its height (with the bowl) and viewing off-angle.
